I don't think I agree with you that Shagari was such a gentleman. I think he was inept and unprepared for the job. He had no clear vision for the nation. Nigeria would have been better off had the likes of Awolowo and Azikwe won the presidency. The worst of us tend to rule us in Nigeria, especially rulers from the Northern half of the country. And nothing has changed ever since. In fact, things have worsened.

I am so sorry ma, but you are a very dishonest human. Nigeria would have been worst if the southern rule. Come to think of it, A region that are predominantly fraudsters and thieves with no morality be allowed to rule? Barayi

Your tribal bigotry has not changed since you parents told you how the problem of Nigeria has always been from the north! You’ve grown up, your parents are probably long gone, yet, here you are, still carrying the inane and mundane sentiment bestowed on you by them! The good thing however is that your views and opinions do not matter in the scheme of things. I hope you drop this garb of idiocy before your children pick up on it as well

You are right!!! I saw a video of Kano city recently, despite the slant of “leadership” of Nigeria favouring the north, Kano, readily the biggest city in the north, is appalling underdeveloped and a grinding and crushing poverty!!

I agree with you. Nigeria has always celebrated mediocrity in leadership right from the inception of her democracy.

Eventhough there's a valid argument to suggest that the neocolonialist weren't going to allow for the well known forward thinking candidates be fortunate to lead their individual nations, there's no doubt in my mind that assuming either of the Africanist won the elections, looking at the continent now assuming the correct candidates won their individual seats at this crucial phase of neocolonialism, things will be much better going forward and as well due to their forward thinking on matters that concerns them and the people of their nations.

Well, it's a good work, but it wasn't 1983, it was early morning on the first day of January 1984 that the coup took place.

Nigeria is just a recycled country. No one talks or remembers the history. Maybe that's why the Old buharis and Co removed history from school so they will not be traced to their evils
