Beautiful message! I agree that the stories of the bible especially the first books have psychological and practical truths even though they are not literally true accounts. The Cain and Able story alone is packed with gems of wisdom! I am grateful for Jordan Peterson and his lectures. They have helped me look at the bible in a fresh new way

I think the scriptures are meant to teach good principles even if they're not historically true stories. If we reflect on those stories and become better people, we're ahead of the game.

I think both sides can go to far and miss out on the usefulness of the stories. Mormons hold it so literal and interpret it through a limited theology that the deeper insights are hidden from them. Similar to militant atheist that doesn’t even see the value in the story/literature aspect of it.
