Apparently the best thing to do is to turn around and talk to them cos it throws them off guard. If you ask challenging questions like, "What do you want?" That's often enough to throw them off their goal cos you've become a bit more of a challenge. My friend did something similar and she narrowly escaped rape (the guy raped the next girl that came after her).

I'm Australian and once I was walking home at night and I took a short-cut through the park (I know it sounds like a horror movie) and a giant Possum jumped from a tree and ran straight past me. I walked home wet. Also, the night before a had a dream where possums had venom so if it bites you, you die and I woke up beleving it which made it scarier because possums are aggressive XD

This is the worst thing ever i'm pretty sure everyone had atleast once infact i'm having this right now: When you get a nightmare wake up shaking, and realise you have to go to the bathroom. But you wanna stay cause you know you have to walk in the dark... If you have this a few tips If you have this because you watched a scary movie, think about this: hoe old are you at the moment 10/13/16/19 idk but you have lived all this time not even knowing about his or hers existens and now you would die because you watched that movie that is bullshit we both know that Excaption: the ring really simple the producer and the cast are all alive and they watched the movie so why should you die If you just have a nightmare: there are a lot of different nightmares but i like to splits m in 3 groups One day nightmare:the one day nightmare is where you just have a nightmare but not regularly to fix this find the source of what is causing the nightmare you read a scary book or drink energy right before sleep this could be a cause of nightmares Regurlaly nightmares are nightmares you havea nightmare almost 3-4 times a week, this isnt necassarily a regurlar nightmare it only is it when its the same To fix this you should find a thereapists and find the source togheter cause this could have something to do with your childhood PTSD: nightmares/reliving the same traumatic expierence again a therapist will be needed I hope this helped you and i normally wouldnt do this But If you think this helped give it a like so a lot of people can read this.

Someone tried to kidnap my mum when she was in her 20's when she was walking home at night and she only just got away they tried to cut her off with there car but it didn't work so they got out and chased her on foot. it's very reasonable to have that fear, trust your instincts and I would recommend having some kind of safety tool whether that be a stun gun, pepper spray (it's illegal in Australia but you can still get it online) or you can even get one of those dog tag trackers and hide it under a bandaid when you go out.
