Have never scheduled a listing. When I have time I list when I’m busy I don’t. The only difference I see in sales is the sell through rate of the items I have listed. Good items seem to sell quickly so now I’ve learned to leave stuff behind As for label printer I recently bought a Brother 1100. Bit of stuffing around how to print from the Australia Post my business but worked it out

Just touching on your promoted listing view. I normally have used the minimum since it came in. I have been selling on ebay for 12 years, 10 full time. recently started upping the rate to around 3 or 4 on new listings.I get suggested rates of 11 to 12 from ebay, seems insane, what rates do you use? I sell media and collectibles as well. Your books look like something I will enjoy, will grab them at some point though I don't use Amazon.

I use the suggested rate that eBay says to use. As you know, Books don’t cost that much to source so I’d rather be further up in the promotive listings. People tend to stay on the first page when they’re looking for an item and I’d rather be at the top.

Thank you for taking time to answer my query in detail, Tory, greatly appreciated! Great inputs and TBH, I am getting frustrated as you highlighted. My regular job takes up a lot of my time and inspite of that, I am trying to list daily. So, when you get no rewards despite putting in efforts, it is very painful. In the past, I used to sell some stuff on a random basis and I did well, but now, with some nice items (vintage books & games etc.) and listing regularly, I was hoping it would improve, but it is going the other way around! Thank you once again, Tory, I shall keep you informed on how I go. You have a good day! Cheers- Naren.

Keep on going on. Remember my video about promoted listings and try to get shipped items out every day. If it helps you with listing try focusing on things with barcode and let eBay do the filling out for you using the AI tool it might speed things up and not be as painful.

I manufacture my own products. I have 385 different items listed on eBay. I truly feel you have to have a huge profit margin to make Ebay profitable. We have a 90% profit margin and at least three people per month. We lose money on and that’s crazy with that kind of profit margin. I will literally just send them another product if they say they didn’t get it and I shipped one person four times and Ebay still gave their money back and I always buy my label through eBay.

That’s a really tough one and molted with economy of scale. You may have seen one of the videos I did where I spoke about making five dollars per book. I think it’s hard when you were trying to operate the way you are and must be frustrating that’s for sure! Keep on trucking though because it sounds as though you’ve got things sorted out pretty well
