Hi Goodhumans! Jason here. :) Thanks for watching and letting us share our story with you. I'm so excited that y'all get to meet my favorite person in the world Mel! We tried to be as open and vulnerable about our relationship as we could and wanted to share the good, the bad, the ugly. Let us know if you have any other questions about our relationship or dating in general, we LOVE talking about LOVE! Thanks again! #melandjase

Mary Babameto that’s so true! I def agree that u shouldn’t change ur identity but maybe shift it slightly. Or not shift ur identity but the values that formed that identity. Like for instance she keeps her independence and realizes that her independence came from a place of self confidence. So she can still be confident in herself with Jason. @adelaider70374 жыл бұрын
THE CURIOUS K'S OF AMELKA I agree that often times religion can be used to justify racism and homophobia and brutality. I do my best personally not to do that and I think a lot of times these things happen because the religion is misinterpreted or taken too far. Personally a lot of people I meet that I think are the most kind, forgiving, or happy are also “religious” people of faith. Even if you don’t believe in it, which is okay, I wanted to clarify that for some religions such as Christianity the basis of faith is to love and accept everyone. And a lot of people fall back on old traditions and don’t remember these foundations but I think it is still very relevant and the ideology is not flawed today. there’s nothing wrong with having hope as long as you don’t use your religion to justify hurting or judging others.

Mel’s fears are valid. She knows he wants a high level partner and she has concerns about falling short of his expectations in time to come, especially as she is someone who struggles with self doubt. I must admit I was concerned when he talked about why he loved her, and also when he talked about becoming anyone she set her mind at becoming, like Oprah for instance. This is his CEO perspective talking, as someone who has tasted some success and is many steps ahead in liberating himself from self doubt. One should guard against the fine line that separates encouragement and criticism. Uplifting people can soon become daily criticism or nagging of what the “weaker” partner isn’t doing right, where eventually both partners become disillusioned and disappointed. What if she can’t remain “high level” after kids? I truly hope he will continue to love the “mediocre” versions of Mel if that is what she ends up becoming. A good hearted, caring, loving, nurturing human being with healthy habits and desire to at least make incremental self-improvements is already a success and a life well lived.

I love how honest they can be with each other about their insecurities within the relationship, it shows how stable and secure they are as a couple to be able to be so honest. They are both so sincere and respectful of each other whilst still being so in love and best friends.That balance is so hard to find! I wish you all the best in your marriage, Jason and Mel, you are both shining stars and deserve the world.

She’s very grounded and she has a great sense of who she is. She doesn’t look at what happens, she looks at right now! This is based on having a strong family and FATHER!!! ya, you are a stranger, why should she marry you?! But what I love about them both is they’ve established STRONG BOUNDARIES and requires having strong identities to establish strong boundaries.

@@etf42 who hurt you human? You're literally everywhere trying to prove that she's not strong but the actual fact is that SHE IS!!! Only we girls can understand what it means for another girl to be strong and independent so just stfu and don't reply saying "I'm a girl too and she's not strong" 😂😂
@etf424 жыл бұрын
Neon girl a girl saying she’s strong and independent is like a little boy flexing his muscles and saying he’s strong. It’s an indication that she is the exact opposite but she’s trying to convince herself and others that she’s is. People who are truly strong demonstrate it, they don’t explicate it.
