I know it is a year late, but I like to point out something. While I do not know the comics you are using, I see plenty of movies to know that you made one major error here. You count Assault on Arkham as part of the Arkham Universe. That is a big error as that movie happens to be part of the DC Original Movies, which are animated movies that are not connected to any other universe but itself. It is like saying that "The Batman" (2021) is part of the Dark Knight Universe. I would rank this video 4/5 for that small error.

Arkham Batman is probably the most OP version of the character I've seen next to maybe Brave and the Bold. Most other adaptations and even sometimes in the comics, Batman would sometimes have trouble fighting three or four basic thugs. He'd also sometimes have trouble fighting Joker and Scarecrow in straight fights (though that depends on the writer), and there's no way he'd fight Bane the same way he does in the Arkham series. Before Arkham, he used to lose badly against Deathstroke in a straight fight in his prime in the comics. Arkham Origins Batman handily won against Deathstroke in his SECOND YEAR AS BATMAN and now comics Batman can beat him rather easily, something I'm not entirely okay with. Adaptations color perception of the character a little too well.

I remember his throwing a same takedown move in both AC and AK but with significantly different level of impact from one another. In AC when he did it the thug would get knocked away a few feet from him whereas in AK he literally sent the thug flying. It’s like Bruce was juicing so much in between both games

I personally think that what really drives Batman is not him being a master in several martial arts and having a genius intellect, but the grief of his parents, i think the whole reason for doing the things that he does is so that no other person or child suffers like he did. 😢💔

Batman is always as strong as he needs to be. He cannot show his strength like many other superheroes but usually comes out on top. If the enemy is wall level, he's house level,if it's a city level threat, he's a state level... That's how it's always been in the comics as well

Arkham asylum Batman was more believable as a non-superpowered superhero. But of course as the series went on they focused more on making the gameplay more complex, varied and with much larger scale brawls. I did like, however, that he was still extremely vulnerable to gunfire through the whole series. Even when fully levelled up with the ballistic armour, he can't stand much direct gunfire. Only problem was, was that they didn't let you turn off the counter prompts until you had beaten the game and then played NG+. Arkham Asylum removed this on the hard setting from the outset, which I preferred, because the counter prompts just made the melee combat far too easy.

@@reuben9338 Maybe you will agree with me (not many people do) that Asylum is also the best game all-round out of the whole series. Sure the gameplay became more exciting and varied as they went on. But none of them captured that pure dark and grimy atmosphere, or the pretty great story (apart from Joker boss ending), or even the general pacing of the game I don't think. Even with the more basic combat and stealth, it still wins because of all the other things it does so much better. Including making Batman more believable as a "normal" human being.

@@w0bbl3r I prefer Knight.
@Br-kc2jy2 жыл бұрын
@@w0bbl3r The atmosphere (and the UI) in Asylum is masterpiece levels of good, followed by Knight in my opinion. Regarding the story I think all four games are on the same level, maybe City is a lil' higher due to how well they killed The Joker but that's it. In fact, *I* think Origins has the best script in the series, yeah I said it! COME FOR ME IF YOU DARE. But, they way I see it, all four games have something that outshines over the others: -Asylum: Atmosphere and, yeah, pacing. -City: Balance of good and bad elements, overall the most perfect one. -Origins: The story and boss fights. -Knight: Gameplay and DLC.

Man I love the Arkham series. Seriously incredible. But man I wish rocksteady and WB Montreal would have animated moves for all 127 martial arts Batman knows. Certain styles for certain situations. Watching Batman change his stance. And then involve all certain type enemies in the same room for a more difficult fight. And I don’t mean just more armored enemies and some with a knife or shield. Like 20 types of enemies at least. Would be a challenge.
@Treftz3 жыл бұрын
Some of those weren't martial arts you listed. They were disciplines. Boryaku is one of the 16 ninjutsu disciplines of using the unorthodox to win a fight, such as politics, the environment, or even an unusual weapon of choice like farming equipment.
