That’s not slow at all! We’ve talked to Yazawa-sensei and she said the bare minimum is finishing at least one chapter a year if you’re aiming to make a manga. In our interview with another Pro Japanese mangaka Rena Saiya, she actually suggests that beginners shouldn’t make their first story too long and complicated. How many chapters are you aiming for your current story?

Don't get discouraged, Jennifer! As what Yazawa-sensei shared in her story, she also failed so many times but kept going until she got her break. It might take some time but your hard work will definitely pay off. ^^
