I think they mentioned that pretender scale bonuses do not stack with national scale bonuses by design, in order to encourage diversity in pretender selection over a handful of optimal meta builds. Thanks for all the Dominions videos, very helpful for newbies. You get into it here, and it's probably a larger topic than a single video, but I tend to struggle with evaluating nation/pretender synergies -- when to lean into nation magical paths, when to diversify, etc. Keep up the good work!

They can cancel each other but do not add. So in this video the god had +magic and Ulm had +drain canceling each other.

Having the Scales spelled out like this is great, thank you!

thanks for all these series mr. Das

At 21:47, your chosen physical form gives you magic +1, so it evens out with the nation drain +1.

personally i really enjoy high-luck high-event runs. sure you get bad ones, but mostly it just showers you with cool stuff.

Current scales in the province determine which random events can and can not happen in a given turn. Especially important is the fortune-misfortune axis, luck allows events to be better and prevents very nasty ones. Luck scale also boosts or reduces the chance for national heroes to appear. Cold scales cover provinces in snow slowing down most armies, allow crossing of rivers but block mountain passes.

Every Drain does 10% more fatigue for mages with combat spells

Sorry i put this before i watch it all

Damn I didn’t even know. Maybe it’s good to take reinvigorate the earth blessing with drain? How to counter that fatigue ?

Knobville. I know a number of people from Knobville. And they are.

If the AI refuses a NAP and you 'lose 1 dominion' is it one off your Pretender Build or just one from one province?

its so interesting. iam confused what stocky means in regards to Ulm. based on the lore in the game I thought Ulm is supposed to be kinda standard germanic with a link to the faction "Man" Logrians and the baseline barbarians. I imagine all of those people to be tall. Also I dont see the sprites of Ulm in game to be drawn as small. it confuses me, cause I think of someone who is broad and short if I hear stocky. to add to my confusion they are also described as "the inhabitants of Ulm are large..." in unit descriptions. I see stocky and large as opposed to one another... I think iam overthinking this **laughs** but it confuses me.

Anyone else has a feeling, that getting only 1 bless point at level 2 magic is bad, and beeing unable to take regeneration bless with an N7 pretender because you only have 6 bless points is kind of silly? Any chance to convince Illwinter to give us back those bless points? Together with the scale trashing limitations, it is a little bit too much. It kind of kills bless oriented builds. In Dom5, I was able to play EA Agartha with an F6E4S4N7B4 dom6 awake bless (Monolith or Master Enchanter, +4 attack, +3 reinvigoration, magic weapons, regeneration, bloodsurge). In Dom6, I have to go all the way down to an imprisonned F4A4W3E4S5D3N7G3B4 dom6 build to get the same bless with true sight, or go dormant AND drop magic weapons.

Why would I, for example, ever make use of the "cold limit +1" (to cold +3) if my nation prefers "cold scale +2"?
@CondomOfCruelty10 ай бұрын
Most of the time it would be for more pretender points. Cold/heat nations also suffer a lot less from going from 2+ to 3+ because they tend to have the required cold/fire resistance on their troops to not suffer penalties.

Bonus points, and spreading your dominion into enemy territories, on a faction that doesn't need a certain scale bonus, is disgustingly good. It can stop certain nations like C'tis that *need* lots of dominion from going anywhere
