Back in the '60s when I was growing up, they taught girls about the changes they could expect in their bodies at around the fifth or sixth grade. A girl in my neighborhood thought it would be fun to pass on the knowledge to 2nd-grade me, and showed me all of the pamphlets and such they had given her with a comprehensive narrative. Afterwards, I went to my parents and said [girl's name] just told me ... is that right? They said "yes" and were relieved that they wouldn't have to have "the talk" with me.

Christianity and the Catholic Church were the main force behind ending the Gladiator games, making the practice of men killing their wives daughters if it wasn't a son illegal because the church believed innocent life was always inherently blessed with value, laid out the set of morals that overlap with Natural Law that has gone on to be the bedrock of most Justice Systems and societal morality to the point where even many non-believers unknowingly get many of their moral understandings and arguments from Christian thought, assisted with social cohesion, allowing strangers do have a commonly understood set of what was considered moral and just. Saved many of the documents, artifacts, and customs that would have otherwise been lost after the fall of the Roman Empire. Monks who set up missionaries acted as the first universities, spreading knowledge and encouraging deep thought to all who came. Successfully joined together Faith, Spirituality, and Reason for contemplating and attempting to understand the Infinite Transcendence nature of God and the inner workings of the universe. Played a huge role in influencing most schools of thought, philosophy, ethics, and beyond. One of the first institutions to have schools of thought that actively pushed for investigation, discovery, and innovation to try and better understand God's creation. Kick-starting what would eventually snowball into becoming the Enlightenment. It has continuously grown into becoming what is now the largest charitable organization in the world. Into the modern day and beyond it will continue to serve the purpose guiding spiritual needs of all individuals who seek assistance navigating this relatively short material existence. Each and every person's individual pilgrimage on the road to Eternity. The Catholic Church is forever linked with the belief in Natural Law. Doing its best, even with individuals not always succeeding, to try and show people how to live the best moral and fulfilled life they can. It stands holding people back as they desperately try to jump off the proverbial cliff. The truth after all is, living life just to try and be as happy as possible for as long as possible is the absolute worst way to live your life despite what loud voices have always claimed. Stubborn and short-sighted as a person can be, some part of them knows this wallowing in emptiness and never being able to have all the answers that can be.
