A year ago I was getting 70c per mile . Now I'm offered only 35c for dry van. Moving livestock offers are 60c. Yuck !!!

The shipping companies set the rates not the consumer. That's in the container business. All container shipping companies have $3.25 companies figured into there rates. But it trickles down to $1.80 companies to the lease drivers. At the end of the year because of the ignorance of lease operators not knowing this the money that was stolen from them is given to the higher ups in these container companies at the end of the year as bonuses. How do I know this I was one of the higher ups at a large shipping company on the east coast for 32 years. Annually me and my coworkers would receive 20% of our salary in bonuses.
