I do admire how well they were able to put together their supporting cast. That seems like the hardest part of team construction, rather than trading for stars. Like if the team is a puzzle, then the supporting cast is all the pieces that are the sky, or grass, and figuring out which pieces go together is the challenge.
@connorestes98145 ай бұрын
fr tho. imho that was what made the warriors so unstoppable from 2015 on. they drafted their amazing players, but more importantly were able to make some incredible moves to put together such a well-rounded supporting cast & b-team that just made it easy for the stars to take breaks in-game without having to be scared they‘ll get destroyed in those phases of the game. that b-team & supporting cast was able to genuinely win games, furthen their lead or make up a big deficit, they were just so incredibly coherent & sticked together like gorilla glue. having that type of support & relief can give your starting 5 so much more energy to play that much better. its essential, youre not winning a championship with just 2 star players & a bunch of mid hoopers anymore. depth can do so much & if you have chemistry in that depth, you can be unstoppable.

The Timing of this Video coming out when the Celtics just got blown out by the Cavs is Hilarious, and Tbh about Joe Mazzula, If anything i think its impressive that he managed to get these guys organized enough after all the drama that happened towards the end of 2022 to be able to not only win each series in 2023, but make the Conference Finals yet again and almost coming back from 0-3 deficit. If anything, I think that's on the players for not playing with enough tenacity and effort for losing to Miami in Game 7. Now the Celtics are the #2 defense in the league and have the best Offensive Rating in NBA History. This is good example of organization and getting all players to buy into their role. Idt this is a coaching problem, rather a player problem with JT and Jalen Brown not being able to become that 1 option to lead them over that hump. Well see though this season. If there's any season for them to win, it's this one.

When you wrote your comment, the Celtics were finishing up their 64 win season, crushing all competition in the regular season. Then they went 16-3 in the playoffs, destroying all teams in their way as they rampaged to their 18th banner. So, if you call that getting in its own way, I hope they get in their own way the same way for a couple of more years. Oh, and BTW, they're not really the champions of snatching defeat from the jaws of victory: Officially, they're just the Champions of the NBA, 2024 season.

Yes from the departure of Garnett in 2007 up through the 2020 draft and development of Edwards. In that time there was Ricky Rubio and Johnny Flynn being picked over Curry, Kevin Loves whole tenure before Cleveland, KAT and Wiggins, Butler/Thibs and all that drama leading to eventually D-Lo and in the end Anthony Edwards 25 years after the last Franchise player was chosen. After that they turned things around and got Gobert and it's been the best run in 20 years
