Have patience. I'm 74 years old. When I started my journey I weighed 254 pounds. I'm only 5'7" and I had a myriad of health issues, including being pre-diabetic and having very high blood pressure 175/140. This journey has not been short. I was Keto for a year and half before carnivore. I've been carnivore for the past year. Today I weigh 163 pounds and all of my health issues are gone. At my physical last week at the VA my doctor was completely amazed. My blood tests all came back great and my blood pressure was 125/70. It will get better as your body adapts to this life style.

I had migraines. Definitely lowering insulin is large contributor. But also, magnesium in its best form, 4-500mg a day got rid of all my migraines and never had one again. This was before keto/carnivore diet. My friend who had migraines since childhood, 2-3xs a week, started taking magnesium and hers disappeared!

I noticed a big difference prioritizing protein and meats and the reduction of migraines and then complete cessation with increasing my magnesium. When I run out of magnesium or retest carbs, I suffer greatly, to the point of being debilitated. I just went shopping today, not one green thing in my grocery bag and I'm proud. I hope I can get my weight to budge.

You two remind me of my niece and husband. They are a really good looking couple, slender, intelligent, super parents, lots of confidence, have lots of friends...They do everything as a family, even cooking. The whole family naturally eats super healthy, like Keto - although they were never overweight. I think and somehow I see it already, when you both get down to your goals, you will totally look like them. And whatever you want to happen, will happen.

I can relate with the eczema. I’ve had minor eczema my entire life but a few years ago it became extreme. That’s the main reason I went back to carnivore. Mine hasn’t gone completely but has gotten so much better. Like Psoriasis, getting out in the sun is a very good for clearing it up short term.

I have been carnivore for two months now. I absolutely love it!!! The energy is amazing!! My weight loss is slow, but I seem to be shrinking even if the scale is moving very slowly. I am not surprised that I do not lose weight as much as other people on carnivore though; prior the carnivore I didn’t believe I could lose weight at all. I tried everything and only gained weight. Going vegan for a year was the worst thing that I did for myself. Carnivore is healing my body though. I am seeing so many health benefits.

I really enjoyed listening to your husband's perspective. And YES on the libido! For most of my marriage, I had a very low drive. Over the past 6 months, since I've been on my hormone-healing journey, my libido spiked so much. It was really overwhelming, haha! I was eating a lot more animal products but still eating plants. I'm 3 weeks into carnivore now & my hormones are readjusting so I haven't enjoyed all those benefits yet but I know the first 30-60 days can be more of an adaption phase so I'm trying to be patient!

One thing I believe is that this way of eating can help balance hormones, so no wonder your sex life is Improved. Also, I hate calling this a "diet" as well...that word means "to die". Maybe we can find a word that means "to live". You both are so authentic and a joy to listen to - thank you❤ ❤❤ ❤❤❤❤❤❤

You have to dial back the fat. Everything deals with your poop. If you're not going the bathroom then You aren't getting enough at. You have to find the happy balance. I'd also eat cold fat bad first. You probably don't need to add any fat to any of your meals and I wouldn't pour any of the grease or anything on what you're eating early on just get fatty or cuts. The cold butter would be a lot easier on your stomach also

Excellent video! 5 months ago I was 285... I gained 60 pounds over the covid years lol... so I stopped sugar, stopped alcohol, and went paleo - and finally carnivore. Down 55+ pounds so far. Goal is 190 ish depending on body fat. Have not really been working out much, but am going to the gym starting this week, plan on 4 days a week there. You gotta try this for 90 days... it will change you big time.

Thanks for sharing. Hi garret. 87 day carnivore here. I've been using emu oil for skin hydration, and it's really helped my face acne problems. it penetrates all layers of your skin very quickly and hydrates. I'm very impressed with it and I think many people don't know about it! I came around to it by way of Dr. Anthony Chaffee recommending ostrich oil and this is very similar. Anyway, for what it's worth - hope it's helpful

Yes! I’ve been using 100% Emu Oil, to treat my Rosacea, for over 25 years! It is the ONLY thing that has helped and keeps it 100% under control! Rosacea is different for everyone and mine was very bad! Heat would trigger mine, so if I got over heated it would flare up. My face would turn red and id get little, very painful blisters all over my face! Ugh! When I stop using Emu Oil, to maybe try something else, or test if I still have Rosacea, boom, it comes right back! I recommend Emu Oil to EVERYONE! Lol! BUT…now that I am carnivore I am going to start using tallow to see what happens! 🤞 We’ll see! 😁

You mentioned insomnia and when I made the keto/ketovore lifestyle change I did not know that my sleeping would change. It was dramatic how quickly I would fall asleep and sleep deeply waking refreshed. Then i kept hearing others describing their sleep pattern changes and I started hearing about people waking up in the middle of the night wide awake not being able to get back to sleep for hours and still wake up refreshed, that's what I was experiencing. I heard on a youtube channel the term Biphasic Sleep it's exactly what I was experiencing and it is not abnormal, but was very common before the industrial age for humans to wake at night to add fuel to the fire and check on the security of the family. Another pattern is the siesta. I'm starting to think this is more common than we are aware of .

This is such a great comment! All very good points that I hadn’t thought of before! I still wake up occasionally at night and can’t get back to sleep! Calm, Practical and less unnecessary Frills 😊 🍂 Going back to watch all of your videos now. Thanks again ! Katie 🇬🇧

Thanks Garrett for sharing so much, i felt the exact same way with clothing, was pretty self conscious on what shirts I wore, had to be loose (size too big) or relaxed fit. I'm a week and a half in and already down 5lbs, feel great I've had success with keto in the past but this time im increasing the meat and can tell you the fat makes such a difference. In the past, it would drain the fat or select lean cuts of meat, not this time. It just downed a powerbowl a few mins ago (bacon and grease, ground beef w/fat, eggs) so yumy. Matt

Hey Garrett! [because you asked]. I Just found your channel, I’ll subscribe. I started Carnivore in Jan of this year [oddly NOT a “new years” thing] but a move of desperation, actually. This list of improvements so long that it sounds like I’m making stuff up, so I’m not going to bother. My “why”, was mental health. And yes that’s basically straightened out completely! I am struggling with a couple issues, however and I’m tinkering with things to see if it helps / hurts… but some things respond slowly to the changes and it’s hard to tell what is effecting what?

Great video! I enjoyed Garrit! How long did your 'insomnia' phase last while transitioning? Thanks!

The insomnia last about a month I think! It might be different for each person though! It is easier to get up earlier now and not be groggy! Definitely a benefit! 💕

KZbin pushed your video to me. However when I search on KZbin for "Meat is where it's at" you don't appear unless I include the heading of your video. You might want to look at that. 😟

Awesome video. One question I had for you both is do you feel like you dream more or remember your dreams better. Me and my wife have been eating carnivore for a little over a year and we have both noticed an increase in our dreams. Just curious if it has affected other carnivores. Good luck with your journey!

I do dream wayyy more vividly and remember my dreams much better than I used to. During the first few weeks it was crazy nightmares but has since mellowed out! 🫣😅

If you have taken that much Ibuprofen you probably have leaky gut - me too ate Ibuprofen a lot - ruined my gut . Bonebroth . Maybe maybe fermented foods like Sauerkraut for a while .

Eat more fat. That might help with the headaches. Shawn Baker just made a video about him changing the diet because of neck pains... he will eat more fat and explains why.

Try to take a little bit of Redmonds salt (size of a sesame seed) and let it dissolve on your tongue before you drink your water so your body will use the water better….found from another youtube video it was an elderly women professor.
