Over 15 years ago some cars already pulled front windows down automatically before doors were open so air compresion was avoided. I don't understand why didn't come with that function in 2019. Is there a way to set it up oneself??

Argie dan if the vehicle does not have the feature it is not possible to set it up yourself, unfortunately no.

We found in a Forscan forum that it may only work if you have one-touch power windows. You can try these steps to ignition on make sure all windows are up press and hold all 4 window buttons down when windows are all the way down, hold down for 10 seconds then hold all 4 window buttons up when all the way up hold the buttons up for 10 seconds let go of buttons ignition off lock the car with the button then press and hold the unlock button and they should all come down. if you only want 1 or 2 windows to come down, just use those buttons for programming.

Not all Ford vehicles come with this feature. There are no settings to turn on, so if it didn’t work than its likely not equipped, unfortunately.

Hi, any idea if this works on a 2014 escape titanium? I've read on a forum that if the negative battery cable was disconnected that you have to reactivate it. I had it serviced yesterday at the dealer for a tsb. Thanks

If you have 1 touch up/down, it's a programable feature. Use forscan or IDS.

It should works on my 2010 Taurus you have to press and hold the unlock button on the key for a few seconds unfortunately does not have the function to put the windows up

Lacombe Ford I looked up on the internet and user guide, on internet I didn't found any information just this video and other videos for fusion cars and in user guide mentioned the way to use this feature I did the same way but didn't work on my car. Thank you 😊

If your vehicle is equipped (not all are, best to check your owner’s manual), then to use this feature, press and hold the lock button on your key fob for two seconds and the windows will begin to roll up. To stop them from going up, just press the unlock button. To roll down the window, press the unlock button twice, and hold the button down when you press it the second time.

I am from India. The car i have is Ford's Figo (In America its sold by a different name). The model is of 2016 and is not the Top End model, the key has 3 buttons for opening the boot and locking/unlocking. Pressing the unlock button for 3 seconds did not worked and i was sad but its ok.

Some have tried the Fordscan aftermarket programmer, it may work. Otherwise no it cannot be.

They should close after holding the lock button for at least 2 seconds. If they aren’t it could be the signal isn’t getting to the vehicle or perhaps the battery is weak in the fob.

2017escapo it will on some trim levels like the Titanium but not all. If you follow the instructions it will work if equipped.

I didn't 'figure my ford' 😢 I need to reset the global opening feature. I changed my battery and now the key won't open or close the windows, also I have to hold the button as its no longer 1 touch. I held the buttons up for 2 seconds and they now have 1 touch open but not close or key. TIA if you respond with a resolution.

From the Service manager: The customer will need to bring it to a dealership to check the programming on the fob itself. Changing the battery won’t cause the feature to disable so it sounds like an issue with the fob itself.

Hi, I own a Lincoln MKX 2011 AWD with panoramic sunroof, the rolling down function works just like that but when I press the lock button for a long time it doesn't roll up the windows, do you know if that feature is not available in my car, mine rolls down but doesn't roll up is it normal?

Roberto Gómez it won't roll them back up for you, but instead they are on a timer. After 10 mins they will close again. This feature is mainly for cooling down the car a bit before getting in to drive versus remote control. If you roll then down with the key, leave it and you'll see that everything will close up again.

Lacombe Ford Wow! Thank you for your quick response I'll try that tomorrow and let you know if it closes by itself after 10 mins. Don't want to abuse your help but I've been having a cruise control issue it seams that it works intermittently because it shuts itself off randomly when I'm driving, apparently after a bump when the road is uneven it turns off seems like it would have a poor contact and sometimes I can't re activate it until I turn the car off and restrart it. The MKX comes only with regular cruise control and not the adaptive one. THANK YOU FOR YOUR HELP. GREETINGS.

David Little no this is not an option you activate, the vehicle needs to have it equipped originally. The 2018 F150 does not come with this feature u fortunately.

Try having your car running, park it and then from outside, with your key fob, press and hold the unlock and lock key at the same time. Hold for a few seconds. This should reprogram the vehicle to only unlock your drivers side door when you click the unlock button.

Not all models came equipped with the global opening windows. It depends on trim level. You could check your VIN to see if it had the feature.
