Basic Farming: 1. Always do farming at the END of waves. 2. If you’re defending early game, you should also be farming a bit. 3. If you’re farming either defend by wave 16, or do it later but keep an eye on the situation. 4. Always get all level 3 farms, a level 3 DJ, & THEN get max farms. 5. If you end up having to pay for back up towers, keep them for now, as the next wave will be stronger. 6. Never get a level 4 farm unless you have 2500 at the end of wave & all the farms are level 3. 7. Always place all 8 farms. You’re making your life so much harder by having less. 8. Unless you’re doing normal mode, MAX YOUR FARMS. As for the video: 1. Please don’t tell me you don’t understand investments. Level 5 farm’s aren’t less cost efficient than level 3 farms, they take LONGER to pay their DEBTS. Trust me, they’ll pay off their debts soon enough & give you triple of what level 3 farms give. Let’s say I only have 10 waves left to make money with farms (It’s usually even more). A level 3 farm would make 5000, while a level 5 farm makes 15,000. And don’t even bring up debts in this case, as level 5 farms are still better. 2. Alright, but who really played normal mode? Newbies? They grind molten. Casual Players with everything? They do quad fallen. People who want a challenge? Solo triple lane maps, solo hardcore, & etc. Point is, nobody does normal mode. 3. Why don’t people use level 5 farms in hardcore strats? Probably because the multiple mini boss waves just give lots of cash in addition to the beefy enemies. But honestly, I would still get level 5 farms if I can just so I don’t run out of micro money somehow. 4. Why do people still get level 5 farms for molten & fallen? Look here, every buck counts & level 5’s just give more money than level 3’s. 5. Maybe advise the players to actually be good teammates, than say that level 3 farms are the best, when they aren’t. Because a good teammate knows that they can’t be selfish, put the level 3 dj near the most farms instead of just their own, & etc. 6. Look here, as long as they’re getting all level 3 farms before they upgrade to 4’s & 5’s. It’s good enough for us all.

The simplest way to farm effciently is just loosely following one rule and using some game sense. (adding up wave bonuses + enemy income to make a choice) The rule is as followed: *"Upgrading your farm is always better than placing a new one down."* This rule applies until you reach 8 lvl 3's, at which point you can afford an accel each wave. Lvl 4's are obviously inefficient, and lvl 5's *may* look useful, but it takes too long to get some down, by the time you can max out FARMS, you already are gaining more money every wave through enemies. The extra cash you get from lvl 5's are not at all nessecary. They can be helpful if you want wiggle room for mistakes, but if you plan out your strategy or are confident in your management, it isn't required at all. The only times I can even consider lvl 5's being useful is with a squad of randoms on something like Pizza Party where you have generous prep time. It's wave 35 or smth and your team each got down an accel, ur confident that they can hold their own, and you are broke from being the early game, by all means, you can catch up by getting 8 lvl 5 farms and make up enough money to contribute later.

People only care about the fact that farms pay themselves over time and how cost efficient certain levels are - but it's more about the sudden burst of cash that you're always given when farms take effect. It's not like you're going to actively consider the fact that, per say, a level 3 farm pays itself off in around 3-4 waves. You're going to care more about the cash given at the end of the wave. Now I completely get the thing about level 4 farm being a terrible cost-to-efficiency ratio hence why I try to avoid it as much as possible other than cases where I have the awkward imbetween where I can't upgrade any farms but are close to affording a level 5, making use of all of the cash that I can. The real question is *not* how long are those farms going to take to repay themselves, but what can you do with that sum of cash that you now have? Some good examples can be as follows: What do eight level 2 farms get you? -A level 2 engineer -A level 2 gladiator -A level 2 golden scout -A level 1 commander What do eight level 3 farms get you? -A level 3 engineer -An accelerator, most likely because of the cash that you have just been given from a wave -A level 3 gladiator in some cases -A ranger What do you get from eight level 5 farms? -A maxed out engnineer starting from level 5 in 3-2 waves -A maxed out accelerator starting from level 4 in 3-2 waves and so on, so fourth This seems to be the singular thing that people completely disreguard when talking, or rating, farms. I don't know if this is some sort of concept that people haven't thought of, but I feel like the whole cost-to-efficiency ratio thing is a bit overrated and overused in these kinds of conversations. Please explain why this is the case? I'm not up to arguing in the replies section but please state your concerns with this entire thing

Fr, 4k cash is not enough to get an Accel, even with wave bonus you can only get lvl 1 - lvl 2 at most unless theres a DJ. But with 12k cash, you can get alot.

On fallen, lvl 5 farms are required for expensive towers like enginner and accel, always upgrade farms to lvl 5 instead of keeping lvl 4, cuz lvl 4 has the worst value. hardcore, polluted 2 and maybe badlands, you won't need lvl 5 farms just lvl 3, for polluted i farm with cowboy and still can max enginner and accels until wave 40.

I did the math: Lvl 3 farms cost 2000 cash in total to place and upgrade but gives out 500. Assuming that you would get all your money back in 4 waves exactly. Lvl 5 farms cost 9500 cash in total to place and upgrade but gives out 1500. Assuming that you would get all your money back in 6.3 waves. I’ll round both to wave 3.5 and 6 waves just to include the money from killing enemies every wave. lvl 5 farms are more useful in terms of long game modes that include 40 waves. If you were to focus on farm only for the duration, it will take about 20-22 waves(estimated from my own experience) to max all 8 farms out. With 8 farms costing a total of 74000 cash in total to max out, it will take 5.5-6 waves to get all your money back. With the remaining waves of 40-20-6, you would have 14 waves to profit which leads to a sum of *164000* extra cash in the end. lvl 3 farms on the other hand will take around 10-11 waves(estimated from my own experience) to upgrade all farms to lvl 3. With 8 lvl 3 farms costing a total of 16000 cash, it will take around 3.8-4 waves to get all your money back. With the remaining waves of 40-10-4, you would have about 26 waves to profit which leads to a sum of *104000* extra cash in the end. In conclusion, the ratio between 26 waves and 16 waves simplified would become 13:8. With a 5 number difference equalizing big gap of 60000 cash, getting lvl 3 farms are indeed better. HOWEVER, in cases where your teammates are the ones defending well for the first few waves to mid game, getting lvl 5 farms isn’t a big deal at all, especially if you have expensive towers to upgrade such as the pursuit, accelerator, engineer or turret, there’s a reasonable explanation for over farming. To wrap things up, lvl 5 farms aren’t useless, it really just depends on the type of load-out for the game. Just play your part, you can easily triumph. 👍

I kind of disagree with your opnion about lvl 4 and 5 farms. (ik you said they are fine in molten and fallen but hear me out) The reason you get lvl 5 farms are not because of the cost efficiency, it's because you want to get a bunch of money in the same wave. For example, if you want to max a mini with only lvl 3 farms you need atleast 3 whole waves(depending on the wave you are doing this, 2 if taking to acount the money damage). Now if you want to do that wih max farms, it's only 1 wave and you have 3k to spare. If you have teammates and no expensive towers you should just go for lvl 3 If you have an expensive tower and you are solo or with teammates, lvl 5 is reccomended. To add to my comment, go for lvl 3 for a while before lvl 5 to help teammates, but if they are doing fine you can go for max ones.

i think hes mostly referring to early game, also a good way to place expensive towers early ( accel, turret, ranger, etc ) ( w10-16 varying from your expensive towers ) is to mainly get 8 lv 2 farms and then save up from there on, its insanely useful and by the time u place ur expensive tower lv 3 farms are really easy to get from that on and u dont have to worry about being useless, only con is not having good early defense and i think u can deal with that with tower variety

the problem about cowboy is: it gives way too much eco and takes way too much time, farm is MORE THAN ENOUGH, cowboy surely gives some insane eco, but its only useful in solo hardcore, which requires you to place 3 different dps towers to limit and max them all

I kind of agree with you here, I think after getting all level 3 farms, you should start defending whitout getting them to level 5 only in hard modes, since the mode is hard, then by the time you get them all to level 3, there will be strong bosses, which will give A LOT OF CASH, but if the mode is easy, like molten, then you should get like 3 or 5 farms to max, because the bosses will not gve that much cash. I know normal is easy too, but it has only 30 waves so by the time you get farms to level 5, the match will almost be over.

I feel like i should state this but whenever I max my farms I usually reach the last wave and that’s when all my accelerators are maxed and if I have another tower like gladiator I didn’t place any or a lot or didn’t pay much attention to them because I was focused on maxing farms and accel. What I do in solo molten is I place my lv 1 jester and then I get 8 lv 2 farms (make sure the farms are near somewhere along the path where you will place dj) by wave 8, then by wave 9 I get 2 lv 3 farms, then I get a lv 3 jester (with fire bombs) for the boss. Next I get a lv 3 dj that cover all 8 of the farms. Next I get the rest of the farms to lv 3. At this point I get down a lv 3 accel right before the Necro comes out. Once I do that I start to max farms. If you followed this correctly then you should have all of your farms maxed out by wave 20 or 21 depending on if you placed your farms right before the next waves starts in that 5 seconds

I think it's more cost efficient to just do level 3 dj though. A lvl 3 dj saves 750 per farm and a lvl 5 dj saves 1500 per farm, so a lvl 3 dj would cost 4250 and save 6000, while a max dj would cost 17250 and save 12000, making it not worth it and wasting bursts of farm cash. Overall it's just not worth it unless you also help teammates with the dj

Yo do u think u could try playing World Tower Defense. It is difficult at first but u got to do the toturial. It also has two types of missions. Over 20 maps. The most unique towers and enemy so because there is no track. Alll towers are unique. There is over 30 towers and more every update. It just go pvp and it’s fire. fun fact, placing a level 2 farm is the same as upgrading a level 2 farm to level 3, so If you end a wave with 1000 cash, you are better off upgrading a level 2 farm to level 3, why? lets say you have 2 level 2 farms and 1 level 1, if you use the 1000 cash to upgrade the level 1 farm and use the cash left to place another farm, your income will increase by 200 and you will have 100 cash left wich couldnt get invested in farms Now if you use the 1k to upgrade a level 2 farm, your income will increase by 250 There is a single exception, if you have 1100 cash, and you have 2 level 1 farms, it is better to upgrade both of the farms to level 2 rather than getting a level 2 farm to level 3

yea no, lvl 4 and lvl 5 farms still provide the most money per wave. this is very useful for when you need to upgrade for a large upgrade per wave. Such as max accel. u would only have to wait 2-3 waves compared to 6 per wave. the reason in hc why lvl 3 farms arent used is due to how much money you make in the late game.

If you use lv4 gladiator you can get max farms around wave 24 if you are good enough and trust me it is worth it. Ps. Don’t get max farms 22 or 23 because of slow bosses instead if you are using gladiator get a max (and use ability on the slow boss). This is if you want to seed run solo btw.

also in hardcore farms don't help too much because you will be getting most of your cash from enemies on later waves so level 3 farms are enough in hardcore

lev 2 and lev 3 farms have the same overall cost efficiency (total cost to cash per wave) so you def can but saying get 8 lev 2 farms up was more straight forward than saying get lev 3 farms along the way y'know

so its really complex but it really depends on how much money you have at the end of the wave. if you have 1k, dont buy another farm but upgrade a level 2 farm. you will get more.

My personal guide on farming (wave 20 if you don't defend) Get 2 level 1 farms Get them to level 2 Get 6 level 2 farms Upgrade to level 3 Skip level 4 and upgrade 8 farms to level 5 (as the pinned comment said if the defense isn't enough go defend or smth)

Best loadout (cost efficient and high dps) : 1) Soldier (early game) [lv0 for high dps, lv2 for hidden detection] (cheapest yet high dps to cost ratio if u dont have golden scout) 2) Farm [lv2 all asap, then lv3 one by one, (Optional: maxed all farms starting on wave 20 to 28)] 3) Cowboy (Optional tower) (early game) [lv0 for more money] buy 3 of them is enough 4) Acel (mid to late game) [lv3 for hidden detection, lv5 for hugh dps] 5) Commander (mid to late game) just buy 3 is enough [lv3 to unlock ability, maxed 1 of 3 for +25% more fire rate] Notes: If u dont have acel, go for minigunner instead. Tips: Dont upgrade lv0 cowboy. Upgrading it is a waste of money and bad dps. Try this loadout and u will see a big difference in ur gameplay.
