Very timely that you posted this. I have been thinking about doing this over this past week and wondered how to go about it. I mainly want it to monitor the dpf condition. I have a 2021….I assume it would appear similarly in the updated 21+ menus?

@@chriss526 I have tried it on the 21s but have not found where it's located. I have seen 21s with it though. It's the same process PCM and instrument cluster changes.

@@Fishook606 I use my VCM 3 from Ford. I recommend if you wanna get one check out Forscans list on their website unless you wanna spend the coin on a VCM-3

Hi Cody, are you only able to start a manual regen if the filter is at 100% full? I've tried starting a regen at say 80% full and I get no response from the truck. Is there ever an alert to let you know when the truck is actually regenning?

Only at 100% it will have a message at the bottom stating to hold ok

I read manual regeneration in your driveway is not so good on everything because of the heat, your thoughts?

We Force manual regens at the dealer to clear the DPF. If you are not driving the vehicle in a way that it regens on its own you will have to manually Regen it. I don't see a problem with it as long as your truck is in a safe position away from anything that could cause a thermal event. If it wasn't good Ford wouldn't allow it to be added with IDS/FDRS.

How long can you drive with it at 100%? I recognize the purpose of this is to keep from regen a few minutes before shutting down, but how long can you delay it before causing more headaches. I probably drive drive too often in town and if you are running errands, it is not the best time to attempt a regen but that could be 10 or more restarts.

It will depend on driving habits. There will be a message that pops up saying exhaust overloaded. Then you will have to manually Regen with forscan
