If you're inspired to try more of this, we have simple landscape tutorials in my book 'A Year of Watercolour' that are similarly simple and a great introduction to this genre. dewintonpaperco.etsy.com

"to allow the human eye to see ..." that grass detail in foreground and fading to the wash ... excellent lesson for me. I have tended to think I need detail everywhere. The entire video is very helpful to me. "its important to commit to it ..." Ha! yes, I did gasp a bit but result is perfect! Also, as a beginner who started trying large landscape and feeling horrible about results ... and then simplifying to smaller "landscape"/vignette ... smaller and simpler was so helpful to me in learning as well as for a slight feeling of progress in skill!

I enjoyed this SO much. I had a stressful week and needed something relaxing and this just hit the spot. It was so much fun to paint and I love the shadow effect. I enjoy your tutorials so much - as a fellow leftie it's very nice to follow someone who paints in the same direction I do. Thank you again.

I want to try this one. I really like it. Kind of reminds me of one of the first ones I did on your channel with a light house. I must have painted it 10 times and never could get it to look the way I wanted. I will tag you on my instagram if I get this one done. Thanks, Harriet

They had a purpose, part or our lost history. They provided energy from the ether. The dome, the columns and they had a spire on top. All the big arches are magnets too.
