Raul, I couldn't responded to your comment (you might have posted from Google+, which still has issues with KZbin). To answer your question, yes, you would just need to purchase a camber kit for the rear of your Civic if you get these D2 Coilovers.

Quick question guys: I want to make car as soft as possible on D2 Suspension. How to make that set up? There are 3 rings. Two upper are purple (top one bigger, middle one smaller) and bottom one- black. And at the top, under the bonnet, there is some adjustment also. I'll be very grateful for your advice. Thank You!
@procivic6 жыл бұрын
+BMW Alpina Normally it would only dependent on the damper settings. The collars control height and spring preload. The bottom most sets the height. The 2 closest to the springs set the preload on it. It is normally best not to tension this too much or too little. Play with the settings on the damper for best results.

@procivic7 жыл бұрын
+Alex Haunhorst Generally, they can still be rotated by hand even with a good preload. You usually want the spring snug with no slop. Usually 2 mm past 0 slop is right around where you want it. You can adjust from there if they are not to your preference.

@procivic10 жыл бұрын
Matt Nigro Might be because you bought the SL series, we normally just sell the RS series, and that's what this video is about. The RS series has a great spring rate. I've personally rode in many different cars running them. Also keep in mind you can adjust the spring pre-load in the SL or RS series, so this might help you out in terms of ride quality. For this install video, we left the pre-load as it was from the factory, and it was just fine.

@procivic10 жыл бұрын
Keoni, if you choose not to use the tools provided, you could damage your coilovers or your car. Having the car "slammed scrapping daily" is possible, but again, we just can't advise doing it due to potential driveability issues.
@keoniside843110 жыл бұрын

Keoni Side You can do it this way, but just be very careful. Also might be best to wrap the end of the screwdriver in something so it does not scratch the metal on the coilover rings. You might be able to find something that works better than a flathead screwdriver too.

N do I need to get a camber kit? O wait this is goin to be install on my 13 Honda civic si:) Thnks luis
@procivic11 жыл бұрын
Luis, we do have these coliovers on our site here: www.procivic.com/pages-product_car_part_info/category-69_80/product-974/index.html You should have plenty of room for the 18" wheels with the D2 coilovers or the Eibach Sportline springs as long as you get a normal wheel offset and width. (18x8 with 38-45mm should be fine). It's definitely a good idea to get a camber kit for your vehicle if you are planning to lower it. Correct camber adjustment can help you reduce uneven tire wear and improve handling!
@louie899911 жыл бұрын
Thnks for ur help. I think I just made a decision im goin to go with the eibach sport-plus kit but before I order them I have another question is it true I have to get a alignment wen I installed them will pepboys will do this kind of alignment or I will need to go to a performance shop sorry for the dumb question this my first time I do something like this on a car lol
@procivic11 жыл бұрын
It's definitely a good idea to get an alignment after you lower your car. Any alignment shop will be able to adjust the toe angle of your vehicle but you will need a camber kit to correct camber (Which is highly recommended). Check out the camber kits on our site here: www.procivic.com/pages-main_pg/category-69_83/suspension-camber-kits.html You can also call us if you need additional advise and we will be happy to help. +PRO Civic do I need a camber kit if lowered only 1 inch?
@procivic10 жыл бұрын
On the 8th gen and above (2006+) it's strongly recommended since the rear already allows for -1 degree of camber from the factory! That means your rear wheels already have negative camber before you even lower it.

@procivic8 жыл бұрын
+Grant Gill They do not offer it in a one piece option. Those may have been custom or retrofitted. The way the suspension is set up, doesn't allow much room to fit a single piece coilover in the rear.

You only need to purchase a rear camber kit if you get these D2 coilovers (they come with a built in front camber kit). Even if you lower your car 3"+, you can still easily correct the camber so it does not look "cambered out".
