Thanks for the thoroughness of your "How to" video. So many videos that purportedly show us how to adjust the bracelet using the Easylink, surprisingly omit any mention whatsoever of the micro-adjust holes inside the clasp as an added and important adjustment feature. Using that micro-adjust feature, in combination with the Easylink pull-out feature, enabled me to achieve the perfect fit (which I could not achieve without using the micro-adjust holes). I discovered the micro-adjust holes simply by examining the interior of the clasp while fiddling with the Easylink pull-out link, and then noticed the spring bar inside the last link. I quickly realized that the sping bar could be pinched with a spring bar tool iin order to position the last link several millimeters east or west using the available slots, and thereby refine the sizing even more. [Works somewhat like the Glidelock on the Submariner bracelets, but not as expansive a range of adjustment and, of course, a tool is not required to move the Glidelock but is required for the Easylink.]

Thankyou for this video. I replaced a link to make the bracelet larger and then using the half-link option I got close to where it was comfortable. The finishing touch was to move the spring bar one position smaller for a really snug fit.

I have an explorer and I haven't been able to release the bracelet as you have shown so unable to wear as it's to big, I've also followed the instructions it came with.

Very useful and informative video. I use the Easylink often on both my Datejust and my Explorer. A very handy feature. I have also adjusted the Datejust clasp from the middle position to the largest position using my springbar tweezers and it was easy to do.

I have an explorer II (226570) and I find it’s a little too snug. With the easy link open it slides. I was wondering would it be safe to open the easy link and adjust the micro setting in the clasp to get a perfect fit? I tried different link variations and was unable to find something. The snug fit leaves a little indentation at the moment so about 3mm would really fix that.

A great video, and pleasant to watch (no pun intended). My watches predate the Easylink so I've had no experience with the function, but my wife recently bought a Datejust Wimbledon and this was most helpful gaining familiarity with it. Thanks!

Hello. I’m gonna buy that spring bar tool. Can I do micro adjustments without un doing the band from the watch. Can the band be connected on all ends and still adjust the spring bar in clasp ?

Yes. Just take your time with plenty of light.

Hi Jonathan, was wondering what is your wrist width? Together with circumference, i believe width is what plays a very significant role in how the watches wear. Thanks!

If the bracelet is too loose and you’ve used the micro adjustment to shortened the bracelet. If then it is still too loose do you then need to remove a link? And if that’s the case, and a link is removed, do you then go to the outer micro link position? How does this adjustment work?
@edinburghwatchcompany247 Жыл бұрын
Hi. You’re right. If the micro adjustment with three settings does not work you will need to either add or remove link. You’ll then likely move the micro adjustment accordingly. You should also set it up with the easy link in its inward/tightest position so that you have the flexibility for your wrist swelling. Regards Jonathan

Easylink design doesn't allow enough setting variations (just 2). Much prefer Glidelock or even the old style pushpins that allowed for multiple settings.

I'm beginning to wonder if the young gentleman in the video ought to change the name of this channel to The Rolex Watch Company, Edinburgh.
@edinburghwatchcompany2472 жыл бұрын
Well having turned 58 yesterday I will gratefully accept the young gentleman category. We aim to share what we have for you to enjoy and encourage you to look back over our 500+ videos where I feature many makes and models. However as much as we like a broad choice it is the Rolex brand that gets the most interest and is therefore what we stock and sell most of. I do like the company name but I think Rolex may object if I did so😁 Thanks for watching.

5mm adjustment in and out of the EasyLink and 3 pin placements requiring a tool is so clunky. Better watch brands now have on-the-fly microadjustment for typically 6mm worth of on-the-fly adjustment in 1mm graduations, all without a tool. EasyLink needs to be relegated to history. Rolex - you can do much better than EasyLink. It's pathetic.
