Suzie is like my modern day Bob Ross. Her videos are fun to watch, I learn, and it is it's own art form and it's beautiful. Suzie's voice is so soothing. I love watching these to relax and have been known to fall asleep watching them. Only because of said relaxation.

Im not a nail tech but I found your videos trying to learn about gel nail polish. Then after I discovered about builder gel from your videos I decided to give it a try. Last week I tried one nail and I was horrible. My husband has been forced to sit through so many of your videos and he asked if he could try it. Turns out he’s been paying attention! He did my remaining fingers and did a pretty good job. It’s not perfect but red polish hid the imperfections. I don’t know if I can talk him into doing it again but I’m gonna try. Thanks for your awesome videos!❤️

My husband appreciates that I switched from acrylic to polygel; he *hated* the smell of the monomer! I've always shown him my work, especially as I've gotten better and better with practice and I just get so excited by how good they look. He's a pretty quiet guy, and after 20 years of marriage I've gotten used to subtle compliments from him. Then the other day a lady at the store said she loved my nails, and my husband said "Don't they look great? She does them herself." Coming from such a shy and quiet guy, it made me so happy! He not only directly complimented my work, he talked to a stranger to do it! I felt more flattered by that than by anything else I've ever heard about my DIY nail art. I swear it made my whole *body* light up.

Suzie, I am a former Hairdresser, nail tech. I got my license in 1971 :-) Long time ago. I think I might have been the first person who did acrylic nails and then gel nails when they came out. Don't laugh, hey I may not have been the first but I was definitely one of the curious ones and I remember how chunky acrylic nails looked when they first made an appearance in the salons. I was all about it, I still am. I left my career for a while to become a social worker for 30 years after about 15 years of owning a salon. Now I am so excited to come back to my creative side and doing nails again. Not so much into doing hair, but nails with all the fun stuff I cannot resist! Your videos for this old bird are so helpful and get me really excited to get back at it. Thank you for all you do here to provide awesome education for all of us ♥ Can you share with us the color and product name of the polish you have on. I Love it I MUST HAVE IT :-)

I run to my husband to show him and he’s such a kill-joy because he couldn’t care less… after all the work it takes and the artistic energy I put into the design it depresses me a little. You are not dyslexic Susie, I think all of us feel the same way. It makes complete sense to have the small numbers going up to the largest numbers. But, I think tips originated in China, lol Yes, I like the tips with the C curve. It would be really nice to see a company come out with really great almond, ballerina and stiletto in multiple lengths. I find many tips are such a waste because many of these sizes are never used on anybody. I also wanted to mention how highly organized you always seem on your table. Maybe you could do a video about how to keep things from running away on you. It seems like when I’m doing my own nails I have stuff all over the place. I can never keep things looking so organized and neat like you do.

I am definitely not a nail tech but I do my own nails frequently and I had an idea for a design that would require someone with much more skill than I have. Build a crystal clear nail (kind of thick), then e-file it to look like the facets on a diamond. Then use some kind of iridescent powder or polish and top coat it. So that it looks like the nail was carved from an actual gem. Think you could do this for me? I would really love to see it.

Here’s a good tip...to prevent the top of your glue container from gluing up on you, making it hard to remove, rub some cuticle oil around the threads of the top of the bottle and do not tighten the cover to tight when you’re done using it. I'd like to sincerely thank you so much ma'am for this video, it's comforting to know how much it's just not easy as a beginner to work with tips. I love you for such authenticity 💝

That was so good!!! I enjoy your videos so much, they make me happy. I'm not a nail tech and I don't really plan on becoming one. I just enjoy the art of doing nails and doing my own nails 💕💕💕. Your videos help me not to mess up my own hands. I started this self doing nail journey when a young woman named "Bebe" gave me the valentines day gel overlay from heck in the dead of August (I match colors with seasons) she did not see my vision. I had really long nails on my right hand at the time which are now all broken off because of her horrible application. Now here I am trying to learn how to replace my beautiful nails with tips until they grow back. Thank you for all you do!
