I think the physics of how this product works is that the plastic bar holds on to the top of the doorframe (on side A), while the long handle part locks onto the other side of the door (side B). Ergo, if the product isn't pulled back parallel to the floor (towards side B) or jolted with an upwards force, it has a low chance of falling out. Of course, there's also the consumer's doorframe that should be taken into consideration. If the doorframe is unstable in any way, or the door is too wide for the handles, it increases the chance of risk.

I bought it. The grips that run perpendicular to the main bar feel really stable. The bar itself does feel a little sketchy at time but I've yet to fall on my ass. At this point I'm more worried about the door frame than the bar.

Works but most doors nowadays are framed with finishing nails which are like staples. I'd run some screws or nails to secure the frame into a stud or two first.

The height of the door frame shouldn't be an issue... Just get a step ladder to reach it... It is the width that needs to be within the manufacturer's recommendation!!!

I bought a pull up bar that looks a lot like this, the long square at the top which rests on the door frame was made of plastic and was hollow, so basically it is Designed to wear out so that people buys another. And it did break soon enough even though i am just 60kg. What i did was to create my own square in wood with new screws and it works even better. Fuck whoever i bought this from, I ain't buying another one. Just a heads up to others, check if its cheap hollow plastic that will hold your entire weight before you buy, or do as I.
