I just got this and its weird, I dont see how its cleaning anything. The brushes dont touch the floor..can the brushes be adjusted down to make contact?

They don’t do that. If they did it would splatter water backwards onto your foot

I bought the bissell proheat 2 x revolution petpro and I haven’t opened it yet but I was wondering if the bare tool was in too . Is it cause I have one rug a runner a small rug at my front door. My floors accept my kitchen and bathroom floors are wood floors.

Yes it works. It's not really a steam cleaning vacuum. Just heated water (to me it's just warm) spray to the floor in express mode. The squeegee then mops the floor dry-er. Feel like a light mop. Not as extensive mopping like the other brands or models that use roller mop.

If you spent 5 seconds to look you’d see its for a bissell 2x revolution pet pro carpet washer so it cleans hard floors. It’s basically a squeegee to contain the cleaning liquid.
