Hey everyone, with the final part released I'd like to thank everyone who is watching the series and a special thanks to those who have purchased the course available at blendermarket.com/products/game-character-tutorial-series. The complete course includes videos for download, detailed step-by-step tutorial notes, starting files and the finished character (or you could jump on the Patreon for a month, download what you want and then bounce). Happy Blendering and feel free to leave comments on what game development tutorials you may want to see next!

Hi, I was about to give up about making a character. I was lost in a lot of questions. This whole tutorial series is helped me so much I can't explain it enough. Thank you so much for creating this tutorial series. I almost finished it all but i had to add some accessories to my character that i forgot to do. I couldn't figure it out how to add new meshes to my existing uv map/textures. So i am redoing it. If you have any knowledge in that i would love to hear. I have one more question, my AO map turns out all black on the body. Just the body not anything else. I couldn't figure out why. Mine doesn't have hardsurfaces like yours maybe thats why idk

I had to skip the texturing part because I don't use Adobe products, plus learning to make your own 3d textures will save you a lot of money and give you a lot more creative freedom.

That is fair enough. Note that you can still bake your high poly meshes and create a normal map in Blender without Substance Painter (there's a number of tutorials on KZbin you can look at for this).
