Jim, my grandpa just passed away last Thursday and I found your videos coincidentally the next day. He is also named Jim :) You are such a genuine nice man and have brought me a lot of comfort, just by videos. Take care and thank you.

Well, thank you Caitlyn, I'm 88 and probably about the same age of your grandfather.

Jim Foreman he is slightly younger, would have turned 71 on the 13th of this month. Passed due to complications with colon cancer. Thanks for the response Jim. Hope you have a nice Sunday and happy Father's Day!

Wish we could watch you and the Missus enjoying your recipe's Jim. Apple juice also goes good for a braising liquid for pork.

What my sister does with certain meats to keep the liquid from getting on the counter she uses a cookie sheet all four sides up and that will help.

I like the chimes on you clock in the background :-) The ribs look great Jim :-) A "BIG" thumbs up :-) I hope you have a great Fathers Day :-) ROCK ON!!!!!!!

The chimes are from a 6 foot, 6 inch grandfaher clock my wife bought for herself for her 65th birthday. I bought a new camea for shooting videos and she asked what it cost; when I told her she simply said, "Happy Fathers Day" This was my first video shot with it. Two of my kids ganged up to give me a 6 pound bag of pecan/maple carmel popcorn

Loved it, Jim. Grabbed your recipe for the rub and will use it soon although probably on a dry BBQ. We don't usually peel off the 'silver skin' which for those with an anatomical bent is in fact the 'parietal pleura'. :-) The camera did a great job and the sound was excellent. Frank (VV and AVE)

The potato salad looks good, too. Do you make your own? There's so many different ways of making it. I like to use red skin potatoes (skin on), hard boiled eggs, dill pickle relish, mayonnaise, mustard, onions (finely chopped), salt and pepper. Some people put sliced olives in theirs. Mine's pretty plain.

Hi Jim! I was wondering if there can be a substitute for that Coca-cola? I don't drink soda in any way so I was wondering if I could just use like water or something? Please reply soon thank you!
@JimForeman
@JimForeman 4 жыл бұрын
It's the acidic content of the Coca-cola that tenderizes the meat. You could use vinegar, citrus juice, wine or pickle juice. Sorry for the delay in replying.

My people are from Texas, Jim. Maybe it's gone socialist now but I'm pretty sure cowboys don't cook with Diet Coke :) I'm playing of course, but, kinda still, come on bud!
@JimForeman
@JimForeman 4 жыл бұрын
Cowboys cook with whatever they have, that's the basis for cowboy cookin'. It's the acid in cokes that tenderizes the meat but any acid will do. Vinegar, wine, citrus juice or even pickle juice works great.
