I think the fake it till you make it mentality truly works. I was never very confident to begin with but I started acting as if I was confident and loved myself and eventually, it became reality. I started to realize all the different qualities I loved about myself and I stopped putting other people on a pedestal

Matthew always makes sense. Always sounds like he's actually genuinely been listening to people around him. Always gives me references. Reasonable things to think about, revisit. He's being honest about things both men and women think or do about themselves or other people. Personally, not things I don't already know, but hearing them again, like this, like a caring older brother or father or whatever; it just makes you confirm things. You trust him and so you keep trusting yourself and you keep moving. Stay grounded, buddy, as you are; wishing a happy 2021 to everyone.

Your words here remind me of reading years ago, about a woman in the society world, who wasn't a great beauty....she had a horse-like face or something. I LOVE this video. Exactly right, we've all been dealt cards in life that we then decide what to do with. What can we do with the cards we've been dealt in life? It's not going to be like anybody else's, only yours. And that's what we as individuals need to find out for ourselves and learn to be confident with. "These are the cards we've been dealt with and this is what I'm going to do with them.". Thank you so much, will inspire me to for one of my next videos on my channel 💜

This was a huge message, Matthew!!!! I was on the verge of making those epiphanies myself as the New Year snuck up on me. I've missed performing so much this year, and was listening to recordings from a Cabaret show I've done the weekend before New Years for the past two years. It was a much needed reminder of the talented bad ass that I am. I've been thinking a lot about what else I can do with my talents while still essentially stuck at home. My confidence comes from how far I've come that allows me to actually be able to accept myself and share my talents.

You really got me with the master chef metaphor 😍 (I am an insane foody) And we all know that kaviar, oysters and kobe beef are the most expensive ingredients and can be nice, but definitely not for everyone and it doesn’t automatically make a great dish, right? The dishes we love the most are made with simple and basic ingredients (just look at Italien cuisine for example... it’s actually a poor people’s cuisine). It’s just about what to do with these ingredients and threat them with love and care and the result is comfort food we are all craving for! Not oysters 🦪 Thanks Matthew 😘

The energy in that "Hello" is just what I needed today. :) Loved that podcast ep. The cooking analogy is ace. After listening, I actually wrote down "Where have I already been a chef in my life?" and was able to recall the good things I had managed to achieve in 2020 after spending a lot if it beating myself up about various things. Top video. x

What a beautiful analogy, you are definitely making the most out of the ingredients you possess and we are all " deliciousely tasting" them. Thank you for sharing your talents and for seeing worth in those who struggles with great levels of insecurities and self-esteem issues.

Brilliant video! The show you are refering to is masterchef where they get the mystery box (random ingredients).
