1 set intention 2 confident (succes retouine, listen music you like for example) 3 make others feel valued, ask how and why question, aim your torso to them to show you like them. People remember what they felt with you 4 how can I add to the conversation 5 tilt your head to the right, triple nod during they talk

#1 Set your intention. Decide about what you want to achieve from a social event. #2 Have a success routine. Get your confidence up before you walk into the room. Influencers don't turn it on and off; they always want to make a great first impression. You can listen to upbeat music, read motivational material. #3 Make others feel valued and needed. Ask how and why questions to make them dig deeper. Aim your torso towards someone to show respect. People don't remember what you said or did, they remember how they felt with you. #4 Add, don't subtract. Ask more follow up questions, agree or disagree. You don't want to start a whole new topic, take what they said and amplify it. Avoid complaining or being negative. #5 Nonverbal. Do the head tilt and the triple nod.

Hey Vanessa! I think you have some great points on socializing and charisma. I'm quite impressed with your channel as a self proclaimed people or situation reader. I find you can become too self-aware sometimes, what do you do to appear confident and knoledgeable, but not cocky? Any tips on where to find balance between humility and self assurance? Would love to know what you think. Keep up the great work!
@Firerose1013 жыл бұрын
"Ask how and why questions" I like the how question but I steer clear of why questions generally. People tend to become defensive when you ask why. "Why did you wear that shirt?" Vs "How did you come to the decision of wearing that shirt?"

2:50 As far as I am concerned the 'Hierarchy of Needs' theory was developed by Abraham Maslow, not Dewey. That being said, her videos have such an excellent, scientifically sound content! This book is a must-read for many people, including myself
@PresCalvinCoolidge5 жыл бұрын
@Alfredo Rafael Habersham Pabon Thanks for the recommendation, I just googled Abraham Maslow and he looks interesting. When I hear the Dewey comment at 2:50, I thought of Dale Carnegie's book "How to Win Friends and Influence People", another great reference.

It might be a fear of messing up that's holding you back. Arm yourself with more knowledge to build your confidence. Here's the hard part. You have to take a leap. You have to put yourself out there. Don't let all this time you put into arming yourself with knowledge go to waste. When you succeed you'll gain more confidence. Which will eventually lead you to a point where you fail again. Don't let that failure go to waste, learn from it, arm yourself with more knowledge to get past this new obstacle. Rinse and Repeat. Hope this helps someone :D

it totally agree with your observations and espcially about alpha men but one thing you are wrong and maybe you say it because it is your business : you got charisma or not and you can acquire it if you are not born with. Even a blind can see charisma.
