Good morning from the beautiful SF Bay Area. Excellent show, Russell, although I come from a different perspective (I did grow up in an Evangelical clan, father was a Presbyterian minister) it is instructive for me to see how today's churches are grappling with these issues. When I left the church it was after realizing many biblical teachings were badly out of date. My father, God bless him, didn't realize he was trying to keep us "stupid" in the face of modern science. Why is there so much fear around seeing how God the Master Creator actually did it? Five thousand year old folk myths do not hold up against the facts of God's glorious universe. And the sad conflicts around women is just that, sad. The world has changed and we must change with it where it is right, and help guide where it is wrong. I love to hear your perspectives and argue with some of them as I listen. I loved your last book and sent it to my sister who has fallen down the rabbit hole. Don't know if she read it although she said she would. Blessings!

I suspect that accepting the truth is first and foremost. As in, accepting that Israel is committing genocide and that the US is complicit in it. Then condemning it and apologising for supporting it. Then considering what you can do about it. Then offering to help those who are helping the victims.
