Such an insightful video! It made me realize that I have spent my entire adult life as a “coach” . All the planning I was doing was going nowhere because I spun in circles, struggling to switch to “athlete” mode. I may have to watch this every morning for a week!

It's definitely easier to make plans than to do the work.

Tim I just love your videos..thank u . If I don't want to do something..I give myself a gift of laying down ,no noise at all..only 5minutes this treats me, does relax and reboot a clear start, then I go in and just SIT at my desk and have the project in front of me...not youtube, email etc...then like you just tell myself i'll just do alittle bit of it. Not even a set time,,,it tricks me to START. HOURS later i've got stuff done...AND feel good about myself..it's the start with NO distraction. It's like wading into a swimming pool went ur afraid to swim...ur already In before u know it

You are so refreshing!! When I think of starting I’m so afraid of not knowing where to start and how do I set up my blog or store to sell the stuff. I need to learn so much that I freeze up and turn on Netflix or listen to other KZbinrs Plus I’m 57 and I should have started sooner I don’t have much for retirement and my 20 yr old son is in his room gaming all the time he can learn this too I like how you said just do it for 5 minutes and if anxious stop or take a break then go again

Found myself binge watching all your vids! One, your narration voice is so good and calming in a sense and two, your info are great, straight forward, and helpful!

Your channel is hidden gem. I thought you were another clickbait get rich fast channels. However your videos are very insightful and this video didn’t have any “hacks” but just stuff to dig deeper in. Thank you

I'm glad you overcome your fear and keep going. Many KZbinrs who share their business and success are often trying to sound so cool and powerful, but for me, you stand out by sharing your struggles and fears. You're more relatable and sound like a friend who genuinely wants to help us go through the same journey as yours.

As someone who suffers from chronic depression (and A LOT of procrastinating, to the point where it affects my future) this is a really important video to watch and rewatch. What you're saying is stuff I've heard all before, even in Uni from artists who taught our classes. Procrastination really can cause mental health issues.. But mental illness can cause procrastination as well. Sometimes it's hard to pin down the cause as the two can be intertwined. I think it's helpful to just hear these habits and tips again because hearing them out loud is a little more powerful than hearing it in your head but not taking action. So thank you for this video. It's a nice short informative piece that is easy to digest in one sitting without losing concentration. The other thing I want to say is how BAD our phones are, particularly social media, for procrastination, and focus in general. Its not surprising that research has found how detrimental social media is to our brains because we are constantly chasing seratonin in the form of short video content, games, etc. All these instant gratification models for apps and social media (and gaming) just floods our brains.. Then you can no longer be patient with any process in life because you want things NOW! I have noticed it a lot as a Gen Y. I never used to be like this - back when a computer was a computer I would sit down and draw without much protest from my brain. Now, after years of social media and phone use in general, I am extremely procrastination prone and can't focus on things for long unless I get into a flow state. It's pretty damaging for anything that requires concentration or persistence for a long term pay off.

Amazing video! Really loved the advice and inspiration you shared here, and I also learned how to start editing videos from tutorials on Skillshare. The free trial is a great way to learn a bunch of very useful skills. Thank you!

Hey Tim! I love the way you speak in your videos, the pacing, wording are really well thought out. Are you scripting/using a teleprompter? If so, it feels so natural! Loving your videos
