@@insertname6980 Sounds like you didn't schedule an appointment ahead of time. Also, if it was for the ER, and had a wait time, then it wasn't a real emergency. If there's something worthy of the ER, you get taken immediately, no questions asked. But for 8 hours? I'm calling bs on that, unless you just happened to be one of the people that managed to be very unlucky, considering that less than 14% of people visiting the emergency services have wait times of one or more hours.

Two things: After not eating for so long you first need to intreduce sweets to your system. Hi. I'm a Hospitalist PA in Washington, D.C. I also have a background in Infectious Diseases. This movie is so significant! We are as close to this as possible with this Covid-19 pandemic. I spent 15 years working w/ HIV patients. Some would have encephalopathy when they developed poorly-controlled AIDS. It would sometimes cause confusion and outburst. You did a great job of reviewing this. We also have patients with "re-feeding" syndrome when they come of IV or TPN fluids for weeks and start trying to eat. This is one of the scariest movies I've ever seen because it could actually happen (theoretically).

There you can get bullet guns, shotguns or even air rifles as a quiet ammo-effective way of collecting food (birds and small game). Now that was a big mistake. Breaking your feet would cause way more noise than simply walking, and forces you to limit your movement to a crawl. I would have taken off my shoes and kept them in my bad hand so that I can use them as either a distraction or to throw at the killer and run away, while keeping my good hand ready for any surprise attacks or even just for opening doors. I can grab a shoe with my good hand when I need to use it, and having a hand free is better than no hands free.

Having a rule about day travel is because the infected are not only more active at night, but they can also be more easily seen during the day and there's a better chance for escape. Blowing up a gas station to take out a horde of infected isn't a bad idea IF the survivors have an escape route and a place to hide (which they did).

As much as I love your summaries, your lack of knowledge about London is clear here, and this movie was very sensitively designed around London's quirks (Danny Boyle likes to do that with his movies). For starters: -London has as many gun shops as Texas has English-style tea rooms. ;-) . I've lived here 20 years and only ever seen two in the whole city. And even the London Metropolitan Police don't often have much in the way of guns. -One sip from the Thames within the greater London area will give you some pretty scary diseases. -London's metro rail tracks (AKA the "Tube") is far more extensive and less convoluted than London's streets. -The main motorway exit from London towards Manchester goes through an underground tunnel. Indeed, most of the motorways out of London are relatively easy to bottleneck, and the "scenic route" can be very far off course indeed.
