No matter what he tells you, let's just say that results may vary. Just because you can work a camera and know how to set up lighting and how to edit videos, doesn't mean you are going to be successful. I have a friend who's been doing this for the past 4-5 years. He's been networking, emailing, doing work for free to gain future business from people and busting his butt to be a fulltime filmaker and still has to rely on a full time job just to make it. With every success story there's about a thousand of those who are struggling and can't make it for one reason or another. Some people are just in places that are too saturated or have people who just don't want any video work. It's really the luck of the draw. So, proceed at your own risk.

Do you have to make a certain amount of money to be a "Filmmaker"? Anyone can be a filmmaker. Some of the most talented videographers and story tellers are super small as far as social media goes but they are DAMN good filmmakers.
@RickyTheCreator18 сағат бұрын
Another asterisk. Being a filmmaker doesn’t mean you’re trying to make money. It could be simply as making a piece of art. Ie. like a painter. Now if you’re talking about making a living off being a filmmaker then yes that’s a whole different realm.
@unknownorigin0118 сағат бұрын
@@thegrizz__ I never said you have to make a certain amount of money but the course and youtube channel is called FULLTIME FILMMAKER. So many times in this channels videos and in the course it talks about how so many people have quit their jobs and become fulltime filmmakers. Yes, you could do it as a side thing just for fun or simply as art. But, again that's not the main point of the channel or course.
@unknownorigin0118 сағат бұрын
@@RickyTheCreator So you create art and make no money off of it? You spent all that money for the course, your camera, lenses, lights, batteries, your computer and everything else to not make money at it? There's nothing wrong with doing something you love simply for the love of it but if you can't make money at it then it becomes nothing more than an expensive hobby.

A hobby should stay as a hobby I think, otherwise it just feels different once you start making money out of it

How do I approach a possible customer, that's has shitty social media game? I can't just roast them, they would end up seeing me as rude
