If you are worried about cutting someone with your drill bits season them just like a hand file, turn your drill on and go over the edges with a hand file.

I think explaining more in-depth about how you use (file around the nail and reduce bulk to get the perfect shape) the e-file will help us beginners feel more comfortable about using it.

E files are in no way shape or form for beginners at all they are for those that have actually got a qualification in how to use an e file which is on a completely different course than your acrylic or gel system course

@@NolaGyrl03 for natural nails always use the finest grit which would be 240 and for acrylic or gel a medium bit 180 grit and to take bulk off acrylic off a carbide bit that's got a rounded safety bit or a ceramic cone shaped one also for a natural nail bed use the drill on a very slow speed which will be around 2500 or 3000 rpms always make sure you have a e file that's got a little screen on so you know what speed you're going at most drill bits are colour coded there's blogs that discuss them or try nail career educations channel she's a fully licensed nail tech who proper goes into detail about everything

I have a question how do you avoid cutting your clients cuticles whenever you’re drilling around that area I don’t know exactly what I’m doing wrong if maybe I am over cutting cuticles whenever I’m doing the nail prep is that the reason why I’m cutting whenever I get to the last part and I’m drilling around the cuticle because they’re already so sensitive what do you suggest I do differently thank you in advance
