I saw Ask Leo!'s video today (after I saw yours) and I told him (and now am telling you) that you both did wonderful videos today and used very good analogies to explain the specific topics mentioned. Thanks again.

Thanks for the wealth of information you provided in your usual succinct and understandable manner! I will bookmark this episode for when I might need it. QUESTION: Does one of your videos cover how to copy only the data files from an old hard drive? I have one I pulled from a desktop PC that died several years ago. Thanks!
@LironSegevАй бұрын
thanks for being here. With the EaseUS Disk Cop utility you should be able to copy data from our old hard drive. Just connect it to your computer either by using an external adapter or connecting it internally and as long as it recognizes it as a D: or whatever drive, you should be able to jsut copy the files.

@@LironSegev Appreciate your answering! I always feel so confident in your knowledge. I just retired as an IT applications programmer, but am only passable when it comes to hardware. ☺

Question: Would you please include exact instructions for replacing a Tower PC SSD hard drive? Good video by the way, thanks!
@Easeus-officialАй бұрын
Certainly! Here are the exact instructions for replacing a Tower PC SSD hard drive using EaseUS Disk Copy: Step-by-Step Instructions: 1. Download and Install the EaseUS Disk Copy software on your PC. 2. Connect the new SSD to your Tower PC using a SATA cable or a USB to SATA adapter. Ensure the new SSD is initialized to MBR or GPT, matching the style of your old disk. 3. Launch EaseUS Disk Copy and use it to clone the old disk to the new disk.

THEN you put the OLD drive into the External Enclosure and duplicate certain parts of you system BACK to that drive as a backup for your data/ passwords, etc.

I thought that the cloning software was free. Anyway, the information was still great.
@bikenyАй бұрын
The website says the download is free, and while there is a trial period, or if you actually pay for it, a 30-day return window, yeah, at the end of the day this is a paid-for product.

When I had data loss using a free clone, I gladly accepted the better brand that paid for it
@robert8Ай бұрын
@@maggieHP-ly7gt Yes, that is right, never to trust 100% on a free software, but sometimes some of the software that are free, are legit. Now, guessing which one is legit and which one has bugs is the hard part.

The clone feature is not for free but we provide 30-day refund policy to protect your rights if the cloned disk is not working.

I'm just turning my Windows PC to Linux Mint. So exciting and hello Linux family. Still have a Laptop and a PC on Windows 10 and a laptop on XP to play around with. The laptops are my play things to destroy but at the moment they have been indestructible. Though both have lost sound and the CD in the Compaq is broken. They have been good for experimenting on.

I'd love to upgrade my old Win 7 computer but it's unstable & I'm over my head. It has a disc drive that's handy for a few old programs I like and don't want to pony up for newer, shinier versions. Heck, I'd still be using Office 2003 if I could (cost nearly $200 back then!!) for most of what I use it for.

what if you have programs installed on other disks? for example you have windows on your main disk and some program installed on that window but on the secondary disk. is that mean you have to re install those programs right? cuz you only can clone one disk to a new disk,
@Easeus-officialАй бұрын
If you need to upgrade or replace both drives, you might need to:1. Use EaseUS Disk Copy to clone the main drive with Windows.2. Use EaseUS Todo PCTrans to back up the programs and data from the secondary drive.3. Restore the backed-up data to the new secondary drive. This way, you can ensure that all your data and programs are preserved during the transition.
