Today I watched 20+ videos / "tutorials" on how to make your First New Small Base - as a totaly new Plalyer. Without saying TOO much , all I need to say is this : I hope YOUR video had popped up FIRST from all other 20+ Videos. That would've saved me SO MUCH TIME! Your Video is the Fastest, Most Clear, Simple, 100% working and every other Positive things you can imagine and write down here... I NEVER subscribe or Like these kind of videos (Just not my Style, nothing else, dont take it personaly, I just use KZbin for Music mostly).. Flag inside the log cabin means that only 1 foundation needs to be blown up to destroy the flag with the log cabin, no overtake time or anything, you will lose your base immediately. I think it´s a bug and hopefully it will be fixed soon. The wardrobes on the rooftop in the intro, they don´t render from far away, so you would be visible to snipers and they´re not bulletproof. Cabinets render though, also not bulletproof but if you put several layers of them, they might work for regular bullets. Cal 50 bmg ap rounds will go straight through them still i think. Not hating on the video at all, good job and def needed for beginners, just wanted to point these out so someone wouldn´t have to learn a painful lesson. :D

really, did they? Tried today to build my first foundations, and they didn't snap at all. had to adjust height of each one to make the at the same level. Am i missing somesting?

@@angelarroyo2989 just like a where not to build and a y'know build remote but not to far away from towns, bunkers, ect. also what to collect while looting, killing players, what to build first, what not too, ect. I'm not a total scrub when it comes to survival games but scum is very different.

What if I claim an existing house and someone puts a flag next to it and then for example seal the door to that house? Will he claim all the loot? Is it possible? I noticed that I cannot Put a flag inside that claimed house.

What's the best for single player pvp? Finding a small garage and fortify it?

if you mean solo PvP, yes the small garages are very good, they dont draw to much attention. There are some that dont have any windows too, those ones are the best!

I could have missed it, but you may have skipped over how to build the walls that surround the base. I don't see a wall blueprint in the craft menu, so I'm not sure how to build it.

i wish they kept he palisades and just added the new wall, i would have layered them, the palisades were great to go around the towers to, the hole was perfectly level with the bottom level of the tower on my base, now it looks like rust

have you checked on the ground to make sure there is no items? such as sticks or planks? Also sometime the terrain is to uneven and it prevents building.

Quick like that I'd say, check if your foundations are on the same level, check if there is any big gap between them. Check if you have any items/material on the foundations that would prevent the cabin blueprint from being placed. Also I believe sometimes foundations can be placed near towns or pois but not cabins.

Everytime I see a base in scum it's already raided I don't really see a point in play online ATM hopefully they can figure something out to make it harded to raid bases

I also feel raiding is a bit too easy, but the balance really depends on what players want. I think they need to give more options to server owners to balance raiding the way they want.

as a newer player for a bout a week after work and off days, i found some guns from a local bunker and a ww2 ran down crack house with a bunch of literal dookie on the floor and materials from a local town and i put 3 gold locks on a door in a town on an official server that "seems" not that populated. i just feel if i take the time to build a base it will be raided. i do have gold locks on a town building but i was about to build a base but now im second thinking that. i have a few chests buried al little too close to my town locked door. bases just dont seem like the way for solo players but i am exposed if i ever get caught digging them up. i am thinking of starting over and joining some kind of fishing squad since i like to do that and i have yet to do it. i collected a few reels and poles though. all it takes is for a group of well equipped players to enter the server i play on and end my game. either make raiding extremely difficult or something but for now im not sure what to do but join a group and start over. i found a bike and its gone already. someone else is here for sure. its the only thing about scum i dont like. your hard work no matter how hard you make your security (and im talking about newer solo players who have watched almost all base and solo vids on yt) they make it WAY too easy to have my cookies took even with gold locks. ALL comments appreciated. no hater here.

To be honest, if i were you i would start on a single player game and play until you get a good understansing of the game mechaincs. but if you really want to start on a MP server and you are not much into raiding, you can look for a server that offers PVE zones or unraidable zones.

I think I will just keep chest buried and keep three gold locks on a small town door. If they break in there's nothing in there. I'm close to a good source of water I find good food but I'll start fishing if I really want to eat. Thanks again

Eitheir you dont have the required skill or you are on a private server for wich the building is disabled (this is the default setting for some server providers for some reason)

It decays overtime, you need to go to your flag with a toolbox to repair your base. You can also repair each section individually
