How to Build a Lawn Mower Ramp

For this project I’m using treated lumber, 2 x 4‘s for the framing and 5/4" x 6" decking. I’ll build the frame first using 3 inch deck screws as fasteners and then level the frame on the ground. I filled the framing with three-quarter inch bluestone to provide a little more support for the weight of the lawnmower and also to help with drainage.

It’s actually a very well written and comprehensive book kzbin.infoUgkxhgbP-6hUnXu_QRaoHgLztgsI0YF3HqR0 . I wanted to pair this with an updated book on local codes to start planning a post-retirement dream shop. I think I have just about everything I need between the two. The extra plans available for purchase towards the end are priced almost as much as full home plans, not little sheds however.

Enjoyable video. I would have butted the planks next to each other. Over time as the green-treated dries and shrinks and the spacings widen. I left a nail space between the boards on my deck and regret it now as the gaps are much wider than I would have liked.

Nice build, but I'm confused to why you used spacers between these type boards, when these board always create there own spacing as they dry out, whether you are building a ramp or a trailer etc, if you pre-space them you always end up with wider spaces than intended when they finish drying out.
