That's great Steve. I'm sure the squirrels appreciate it. I just let them eat out of the bird feeder, they don't seem to eat too much and the birds will sit right beside them and eat at the same time. I've been putting out bowls of water in the shade too, but only the squirrels have been using it. The first time I ever saw a black squirrel was the first time I went to Ontario. They were all over Parliament grounds in Ottawa and every little town we went to.

Lots of squirrel's out here. They drink with the birds and sometimes splash themselves in the birdbath . They like the peants in the shell better but most times the just berry them in the ground . I like them around and they sure like me feeding them 😅

The squirrels will absolutely love it and become very friendly fast as they do appreciate the food and their natural fear will change to friendly pets in time .

My gosh. I have never seen a squirrel that wasn't grey. Or white. You Canadians are really inclusive with your squirrels. Good on you! What do you have that will keep a Steller's Jay from draining a bird feeder? Two of them suckers will empty a feeder in ten minutes.
@SteveRobReviews3 жыл бұрын
These squirrels are like pets to us as they trust us and of course like to be fed :) we have blue Jay's not sure what stellar Jay's are but Bluejays will not feed at my feeders if it's got black sunflower seeds in it . They do love corn and peanuts and steal the peanut ftom the squirrels feeder .

How's she goin'? It's nice to feed the wild life, but I don't like to encourage squirrels. They are the most destructive thing I have ever seen. We have red squirrels around here and they will chew on anything. We used to have bird feeders and the squirrels would raid the bird feeders and then they were around the camp and they used to cause so much destruction. Everything from chewing my siding and getting into the attic to chewing electrical wires and causing me to have top re-wire complete electric circuits due to the wire damage. They even chewed a hole in a fabric shelter roof over our deck one year. That roof cost me over $700 dollars to have have custom made!!! So as much as I love it living in their neighborhood, I do not enjoy having those tree rat squirrels around!!! Take care!!!
@SteveRobReviews3 жыл бұрын
I see this a lot and yes I have experienced the same but since they are never hungry at my place they just don't chew on stuff anyone. Interesting experiment that worked well for me.

OK you buy a bag of peants in the shell and try making friends because they get real friendly fast if your nice to them. You children will love to see them around over time.
