How to Build a Viking Tavern | Valheim

I play Valheim with my son and daughter-in-law, who live about 1600 miles away...we have a server with some of their friends, and we all do our own thing, but fight bosses together and help each other with tasks like mining. I am inspired to build a little village around my base, now, so I will definitely build this tavern first! I love your buildings and your instructive videos.

I want to build a full on village around my main castle too. It'll have a bakery, an inn, a black smith, a dock(with multiple ships), a gift shop, a general store, some small farms, etc. Incredible game.

@@phinqs I would love to see that once finished. For a suggestion on a build video, what about a large portal room or watch tower? Also the most difficult thing for me so far has been a long dock out into the water. I ended up doing some weird along-the-shore dock so it works for now.

@@paulthulhu2679 Those are some really good suggestions. I like the idea of a portal room and watch tower as they will likely be things I can include in my village anyway. Docks look great when they are finished but building above water is painful for the most part.

How did you get the 2 campfires on the wood floor on the 2nd floor? Use iron posts inside the corewood?

I love the Finished Building but you can't build it in survivial, cause the wood will break at the top

The building features don’t change between survival and creative. Therefore, I would recommend double checking that all ground level structural elements are blue! Otherwise, in the Mistland’s update you will be able to use reinforced diagonal beams to ensure the roof doesn’t break! Thanks for the comment and good luck building!

@@phinqs Ok, the Problem might be, that i don't have Iron yet so i can craft a stonecutter, right?

@@modrescher7644 Yes, most likely. Once you have a stone ground then you should be able to build the full structure. You will unlock the stonecutter quite early in the game though! Good luck!
