I've got a garage same as Blake's. Mine is about 5 min walk from my house .Working on me bike last weekend after a ride I noticed a few local druggies watching me .Next day went to me garage,someone had tried to get in ,can't quess who 🤬. My next DIY will be cutting their hands off with my own skil saw

This video got me started on sorting both my sheds today, built a bike stand like Blake's for my kids bikes, no workbench as that'll be for my shed. Plenty of RECTANGLES used today but not many TRAINGLES #BlakeSamson #GMBN 😂😂😂

Great vid Blake, when I made my work bench I used an old solid core door as the bench top. They're an ideal thickness and you just cut it to whatever dimensions you need

Great video! One tip for those in the States (and those with a place similar), head down to your local Habitat for Humanity ReStore and pick up a cabinet or two for the base and put something like Blake's top on it. Less work and hides all your junk inside.

Blake - what about adding some lighting over the bench? A 12v battery, solar charger and LED lights?

If you usually drive to your garage then you can buy a spare car battery to power some led downlights. Those are pretty efficient and work straight off a 12V battery. You can take the battery home with you to charge it up and keep it in the trunk in case you need it. Not the epitome of comfort but some extra light can make a big difference if you spend hours in that space! I know someone who does this with a big ass semi battery in a hunting cabin.

For lighting I use for my shed a rechargeable LED lamp, I can definitely recommend it to all of us who dont have an electricity outlet in our bike shed/workshop!

if you are measuring it in inches, surely it should have been 26" x 27.5" x 29" ?

Use some sandpaper to round the corners and edges of the cut wood on top. Drill a container or cup to the side of the table for holding misc things like lube that tend to get knocked over easily. You could also drill another shelf or two to the back wall.
