That looks so much easier the when I built my 65 gallon refugium slash sump 10 years ago that I had on my home built 120 gallon saltwater tank part reef tank but with time I could not afford the upkeep but thank to your videos you have me refire my love of saltwater so now I'm 3k into a 13.5 gallon reef tank with only 1 fish

Did you use acrylic solvent adhesive on the filter sock compartment? I built a 40 gallon breeder sump using Fiji's kit and the acrylic cement welds the filter sock chamber together and makes it easier to silicone to the tank. :-)

@@schukls993 Yes, in addition to my 40 breeder sump I'm now building a 20 gal long sump using Fiji's kit. I highly recommend these kits.

Nice video! I'm just about to buy the 40 gallon version of this to build for my new 150 display. Also planning on getting a Bubble Magus curve 9 skimmer based off of BRS recommendations. What do you think? Curve 9 overkill for a 150gal or could I go with a Curve 7?

Did the EXACT same setup, same baffle kit, same tank. Those baffles aren't going to adhere and will separate if you didn't silicone both sides (btw, you can't because of the proximity of the foam section). Mine came apart and had to be re-done requiring draining the sump. The baffles are thin and also bow over time due to different water levels and absorbtion. Wish I'd gone with a professional setup despite the cost. This is one of those products that sounds great in theory, but the devil is in the details and it won't hold up over time. Prepare for a pissed off customer if they ever go into their sump compartment.
