Kelly, I wanted to let you know that I appreciate you so much! I have been adopting your barrier-repairing, gentle and soothing approach to skincare for the past few months and I have seen drastic improvement to my moderate-severe acne. My skin texture has improved, I can feel that my skin is stronger and firmer, and I finally don't have open, bleeding wounds on my face. I bought the Benton deep green tea toner and Illiyoon ato ceramide cream after seeing you recommend them several times. They have helped my skin so much, esp now that I started tretinoin last week. I previously did not use toners but your love for them is so infectious. Now I understand why you love toners! So amazingly hydrating. I have combo/dehydrated skin in a hot and humid tropical climate. I bought the Isntree HA toner, HA essence, and green tea toner. Really excited to try them and I'm trying my best to incorporate 1 product at a time 😂 You are so transparent about gifts and sponsorships. That makes me trust your recommendations and reviews. Love you, Kelly! ❤

Kelly I now use arbutrin and niacidamide as two separate steps in my skin care and I really like to find protects that are combined that are at a percentage that is effective. Such niacidamide in a toner or Arbutin in a serum. I have aging skin yet my skin is sensitive I can only use 2% retinol in squalene. I do have these in ordinary which is what I bought before got into K beauty. Also I can not find a vitamin C product that doesn’t burn and irritate my skin. I tried 10% first and I had to wash off my face it hurt so much. I have sun spots because I did not wear sunscreen until last year! So I would like to brighten my skin but I know that the pigment damage is not going to really fade much. I have tried a product the had fruit extracts that said it was vitamin C and that didn’t bother my skin but I really like something from K beauty. I have so many steps it but hard for me too do because I am so tired because I suffer from Fibromyalgia and CFS. I don’t want to repurchase niacidamide and Arbutin from the ordinary as I find them sticky. I love them included other products. Suggestions please? Kids please wear you sunscreen. I have sunspots that won’t go away. Sunscreen was not a product that was even talked about and in the 70s not for sale. I avoided them as a teenager because they burnt my skin because I didn’t know the difference between a chemical and mineral sunscreen. My mother and grandmother never wore sunscreen! I did use it if out doors in the sun but I didn’t know I had to reapply. My skin is not terrible but I think that has to do with wearing hats and the fact I only burn so I was always in the shade. But I don’t have money to get the spots lasered off. I love my Korean sunscreen now!

Not Kelly but Cos de Baha has an arbutin + niacinamide serum that might interest you. I personally have not tried it but I have been eyeing it. Reviews seem relatively good for this brand but some people on Reddit didn't react well to Cos de Baha serums.

I'm really curious about the TIA'M Vitamin C toner now! Vitamin C definitely targets a lot of my skin concerns, but I've been a bit apprehensive on taking the plunge with all the issues of oxidation. Plus a toner texture is such an appealing way to get those benefits - really glad that watching your channel convinced me to give toners another try when so many other skincare channels are saying they're not necessary!

Please, let me hide my 25+ skincare items. Ok they might not be as many because a bunch are unopened, but I have quite a few of toners and moisturisers going (hi, combo to dry, dehydrated and sensitive here too lol). I feel you with specific sensitivity, I am pretty sure my face is a-ok with essential oils, I used the COSRX green shield and the ceramide cream for about 6 months straight with no problems and those two have bergamot oil, my highlighter has lavender oil and it causes me no irritation. Heck, leaning my cheek on my hand is more irritating; but I’m not going to bet my skin on them, I finished the CosRx stuff and I’m not repurchasing (I got the illiyoon, the Pyunkang Yul blue label and the Purito sleeping pack) and when I finish my highlighter or when it goes bad I will toss it and look for a fragrance free one. Speaking of emulsions, I think I’ve told you I despise hyaluronic acid serums but your isntree HA line video gave me an idea; haven’t implemented it yet, but I might get an aqua gel cream high in hyaluronic acid and use that as an emulsion underneath my moisturiser. It might solve my issues with HA which is it feeling like cling film and pilling. (Btw, does the isntree hyaluronic acid moist cream have cocoa seed butter/extract? I think your video said that it did but the website doesn’t list it in the ingredients and I’m confusion. I want to try it but I don’t want to risk buying a product that could give me hives)

Check out Skincarisma or Incidecoder, they are websites that list out the ingredients of certain products! Skincarisma also lists if an ingredient is potentially comedogenic or if an ingredient is fungal acne safe.
@AwakingOceanborn4 жыл бұрын
@@sleepychild9781 I’m guessing you’re suggesting because of the cocoa thing? The thing is, I took the ingredients’ list from the actual Isntree website, and it says the list was updated in March 2020, and that one doesn’t list any cocoa anything. But in her review posted in June she mentions cocoa seed. So now I’m left wondering one, if the stuff got reformulated and two, which is the more actual formula. And I do love those websites.
@sleepychild97814 жыл бұрын
@@AwakingOceanborn Hmm then that's confusing. I wouldn't know what to do then after that. If the product has other good ingredients and you've got the money to spend then you could get it and double check the ingredient list on the back. Or because the official website doesn't list it, maybe they did reformulate :/
@AwakingOceanborn4 жыл бұрын
@@sleepychild9781 I’ve sent yesstyle a message asking because they have the same ingredient’s list as the Isntree website and the last time I had doubts (with a make prem sunscreen) they sent me a super detailed email as answer so here’s hoping. I’m hoping for a cocoa free reformulation but if it’s not possible I might just get it for my mum because I really like the ingredients otherwise.

niacinamide really is the sh** for my skin! I used the TO one for a long time and stopped using it while ago, because I had other products with niacinamide in it and thought that's enough. now I've been fighting acne for a couple of months and had no idea where it came from. then I started using the tia'm one, mainly because of the arbutin in it for hyperpigmentation and voila, my acne is getting better again.

Ok, so when I did the skin test earlier this year, within 5-10 minutes my skin felt itchy and prickly. After a horrible close to 2 hour wait (the time I was told to wait), there was no visible patches of flakiness and my nose and forehead were minimally shiny. A single ply of a napkin patted on my nose and forehead didn’t appear to pick up much, if any, oil. But, I do get midday oiliness on my nose as my glasses start slipping a little bit, and I can see the visible shine on my matte plastic frames. Thoughts? Could being dehydrated give the impression that I am dry without actually being dry? I kinda feel like maybe I’m dehydrated normal to dry combination but I’m so confused. Lol.

If there's no burning, or continous stinging, or itching and such you could continue using your current products. It depends on the ingredients you're using as well. Chemical exfoliants, retinol, and niacinimide can cause skin purging. I'd check your ingredients, and then wait a bit longer or a bit less depending on the ingredients.
