The really nice guy from pumping iron who the short guy was mean to and tormented at the show is still around and he looks pretty good especially for his age. I saw a news clip that featured him. I think he’s older than Arnold. Mike Katz I think.

Yes i keep thinking that, and i guess because he doesn’t do “reps till failure” thing and play basic 3 sets 8-12, not 5 failure sets!!!! i dunno coz he emphasize this point a lot

Jay, loved the talk about Rocky 4 and the 80s……brings back fond memories. I watched Rocky 3 with Mr. T and Hulk Hogan like a 100 times on VHS tape! Remember watching classic flicks over and over with friends? Plus, Stallone and Arnold got me psyched to work out as a teen.

What is the general consensus on wrist protection as on machines like the Atlantis, Preacher, Cable Curls, for some like myself who are an average height, weight, build, but strong as properly increase weight while maintaining form, and increasing reps from 6 up to 12 to continue muscle growth at some point the wrists are taking tremendous forces expected to handle the leverage and forces of what arm muscles which are much bigger and stronger, and wrists hold back progress via TFCC, Carpal, and other wrist joints straining causing weakness, or pain. I just take few days off, then use basic neoprene Velcro wrist wraps, lower weight, lower reps, or switch exercise type to accommodate but when get to high weight and have ability to go higher how do you protect wrists and thumbs as it's holding back my progress? I used to not use any belts, wraps, or braces to keep joints strong and not rely on support but reaching a weight levels where have to do something. What brands/models are commonly used by those lifting heavy? Maybe something like a gymreapers 18" wrist wrap or stiff wrist wrap shows up alot in searches. 😁

At 45 natural, I started wanting it again. Eating 8 times a day, but training with more total sets, and more reps per set. Less weight. And man I am exploding. I use Fenugreek for mass, and also Tongkat. I just know I love doing this, and I want to beat all these younger guys. Out mass them and out diet them. Cant be done? ..

I don't even take supplements all natural have been lifting for 20 years . and I tell you something natural muscles stay with you forever even if you don't workout. So be natural ! Its the best ! You not gonna juice all your freaking life. One day you will get tired and stop. ! But natural process will never stop ! FPM from New York City .
