What is the general consensus on wrist protection as on machines like the Atlantis, Preacher, Cable Curls, for some like myself who are an average height, weight, build, but strong as properly increase weight while maintaining form, and increasing reps from 6 up to 12 to continue muscle growth at some point the wrists are taking tremendous forces expected to handle the leverage and forces of what arm muscles which are much bigger and stronger, and wrists hold back progress via TFCC, Carpal, and other wrist joints straining causing weakness, or pain. I just take few days off, then use basic neoprene Velcro wrist wraps, lower weight, lower reps, or switch exercise type to accommodate but when get to high weight and have ability to go higher how do you protect wrists and thumbs as it's holding back my progress? I used to not use any belts, wraps, or braces to keep joints strong and not rely on support but reaching a weight levels where have to do something. What brands/models are commonly used by those lifting heavy? Maybe something like a gymreapers 18" wrist wrap or stiff wrist wrap shows up alot in searches. 😁
