Can't wait to try some of this. I'm a total rookie with no portfolio, whose interest in cars and a handed down DSLR has unexpectedly sparked a new hobby in (attempted!) car photography. Even if I won't be giving up the day job just yet, knowing how and where to start with portfolio building is a huge help. Cheers mate - awesome insight.

Great advice matey, thanks for sharing these. I never thought about that with the likes of auto trader, will have to give that a try. This is exactly how I got taking photos for my local Toyota, kia and Honda dealerships, offering them the photos and content for free.

Great video, I started photography last year and in my local area there are multiple weekly car meets that I have gone to to take pictures, most of them are on my Instagram but I recently looked through them all and some of the edits after looking back at them are not great. I have improved on editing a great deal over the last year, would you recommend going through and re-editing them and reposting them? Its winter now and where I am at it is very cold, so no car meets are going to happen for a few months.

It's always worthwhile to go back and edit old images. You would ge amazed at how much you will have progressed. And if nothing else it gives you more content to post. Both as new work and possibly a before and after. Also try editing in a new style and see what you get. Make you sure you tag me in stuff on iG to so I can see what your working on.
