Coach Dan this is a great video. You really need to get on Instagram. You would have a ton of followers. I follow a ton of softball folks however you are the only one really talking about strength training. I feel like softball players only play softball and don’t have time for strength training. I think if they found a happy medium they would be much better off. I was at a practice a few weeks ago and had my pitchers do some squats and half lunges with no weight and they looked at me like I had was from another planet. Get your message out there I feel it is super important. Great job and keep the videos coming.

I absolutely hate instagram and won't be back. As creators, we only have so much time and I found long ago that instagram sucks the life out of me. I prefer making longer, better, meaningful content rather than trying to make a new shiny thing to look at every day there. Its not for me. Thanks for the comment and kind words, though.

Hi coach, I being following you for some time and you have a really good videos, thanks for sharing... I have a 10 year old daughter, she is being playing softball for a little bit more than 4 years now, I think she has potential and she really likes softball and it's committed to it, do you recommend to start with some of these strength exercises with her? And if so, how often will be right?... She weights 99 pounds and 4'9" of height, thank you in advance and greatings

No - I'd recommend starting strength training at 12 years old IF she is mentally ready and excited at that point to begin. 10 is too young.

I have 14 year old lefty pitcher, on the small and thin side, 93 lbs. what weight medicine ball to start for the shot put???

so ive been weight training for like 5 months now and i’ve had a workout split that includes: monday-legs, tuesday-push (chest and tris) and wednesday- pull (back and bi’s) thursday rest m then i’ll just repeat ñ is this fine ?

Great stuff coach, I work with a u14 team. Many workout from home and don't have room for the med ball throw. Is there any substitutes that are good from home?

so with the push ups are girl push ups better to do or are the inclines better when you’re trying to work your way up to doing an actual push up?

Dan, Do you believe in upping the weight each set? Or do you want the same weight each set? Do we need to get maxes too? Thanks

Not every set no. Find the right weight for all sets, build up with a warm up or the first set. I don’t know what you mean by maxes.

any workout won't yield results if done less than twice per week. 2-4 times is typical but you need to make the best choice for you and be conservative

How do u get a 12 yr old pitcher to use her legs and not just her arms when throwing? I'm not sure she really understands how to go about or get her legs to work properly?
