This ensures that your body has all of the energy it needs in order to lay down as much new lean muscle tissue as it can I always recommend keeping the surplus sensible. Not too drastic. Something like 100-250 calories over what you burn every day is plenty 👌🏼 if you ate a TON over your daily calorie requirement (let’s say it was crazy like 1000 calories over) yes, you’d have all the energy you’d need to build muscle as fast as possible, but you’d add fat at far too drastic of a rate. You would literally get too fat too quickly, and your bulking phase would possibly need to be ended prematurely. That’s why it’s best to keep the bulking calorie surplus very modest. Make it your goal to gain weight VERY slowly. That way, your body will be in a fed state, with all of the calories it needs to build muscle maximally, for as long as possible before you need to cut down to get leaner. These are merely tips to help individuals who have a tough time consistently eating adequate calories in order to maintain a calorie surplus!

Can you avoid promoting Saturate fat in things like cheese. I lost several family members due to clogged arteries. Lecithin granules to mobilise bad cholesterol and saturated fat has been a life saver

@@allsmilesguy I have those but I'm curious. Do they work all the time for you? For me it's often a 50/50% chance they won't. One time I can eat a whole block of ice cream, but another day I can't even drink a cappuccino. (when I take those pills)

Recommendation, do not eat food faster only for one reason: it can wreck your digestive system. I actually found that I was able to eat more when I chewed my food throughougly bc my stomach wouldn’t be killing me as much.

6. If you’re using any stimulants (caffeine, nicotine, adderall) you’ll be bulking on hard mode. Cut them out completely and your hunger will skyrocket

I find black coffee makes me feel hungry and, thus, helps me eat more, but I did quit it for a week and felt less anxious. I’m considering switching to decaf as I do enjoy the flavor and process of making coffee.

Nah Fr though, Davis is different than most influencers in that he really makes you want to do his workouts. He makes them look super engaging and describes how to do them perfectly. On top of that, he’s just a cool guy and you’ll want to adopt what he does. Revolutionary influencer.

@@Isus273 i am a big eater so i eat 500g of pasta (500g not cooked) with tomatosauce and 2 chicken filet (500g) and a lot of cheese (emmental) That is my main meal and eat it almost everyday. when i was tired of the pasta i started eating wraps with chicken and emmental. The pasta is around 1500kcal and 55g protein combined with the ckicken gives you all the protein for that day and with the cheese you can get around 2000 - 2500 kcal in this meal. When i ate the whole meal at once i was eating for around 40 min or i ate like 2 big plates and 1 plate some hours later.

@@Isus273 when i started working out and my bulk i was 78kg or 171lb. I went to 97kg or 213lb and i was 21,8% fat then so at 12% bodyfat i weight 86kg or 189lb if i am correct so i got around 10 to 13 kg of musscle i think because i was around 17-20% bodyfat i think when i started working out. I dindt do the math exactly but it is somewhere in that range.

I want to add on nr 4 ‘ Have smaller more frequent meals throughout the day ‘ I have finally realized that when I tried bulking by eating more food per meal, I started get tired throughout the day around 3 pm So food definitely has a lot of impact on how awake and energy you have

Same here for a while bro. Focus on foods that are more bland. Also drink more water, that can expand stomach and make eating more food easy. Whenever I start a bulk it’s a solid 2 weeks of force feeding myself before I get hungry for the amount of calories I need. Also anxiety wise look into finding the source and working through it. Lots of online sources or counseling helped me!

Dude I smoke weed when I bulk because I’m a hard gainer. Still only 77kg at 6’3.5 lmao and only gained 5kg in 3 months doing a dirty bulk plus with the munchies

Dude. Weed speeds up your metabolism. That’s why must of your calories you get from munchies and from regular meals are cancelled out by high metabolism, if you eat a lot than you will have a very little calorie surplus. I was doing the same because I was hard gainer. Then when I learnt that it doesn’t do anything, I tried to it more and more within a little period of time. And as David said my stomach got bigger, it became easy for me to eat a lot. I still smoke weed but besides the munchies I am eating 5 meal a day. I vomitted in my 7th day in this path. However, I gained 10 kg at 1.5 months. Believe me I also looked quite good I was working out and when I told everyone they said it is impossible to look good when gaining a lot of weight in such a little time. Plus I don’t eat bad at all. My munchies are leftovers from dinner. I eat salad rice pasta steak chicken fish and a lot of fruits and vegetables. I even eat banana pineapple apple pear in my munch. It is a matter of getting used to eat good even in munch. I don’t want desert sugar in my body anymore. When I am having munch, all I wanted to is making sure my mouth works, I am chewing something when I smoke weed all the time but good stuff.

I had this problem for a period as well - after a lot of experimentation, I found out that the solution, simply enough, is vegetables. The thing with bulking is that you’re eating lots of fat, which is good, but doesn’t get you very far in the volume department. A large bag of spinach has like 50 calories, lots of protein and nutrients, and will keep you full for hours. Eat several unreasonably large portions of veggies a day and not only will your hunger disappear, but you will also see great improvements in your vitamin/nutrient levels, bowel movements, and overall health.

I’ve been shredded with calisthenics for 5 years in high school. Then struggle with mental health for 3 years. Now everyone telling me i took drug because i lost weight. How about making a vid showcasing bulking on a budget !! Eating isn’t free and for younger people that aren’t yet financially there.. maybe there’s a reasonable priced weekly prep out there.. idk just looking for a sense of direction when going grocery shopping. Something as simple as a shopping list goes a long long way.
