How To Burn Frankincense Resin

Accompanying video notes:
Frankincense resin can be used as a spiritual tool to clear away negative energy. It is said to have healing properties. It's best to use it and set an intention at the time of dropping the incense onto the disc. You can say something like "This frankincense smoke cleanses and heals all that it touches". I personally find this little ritual both calming and enchanting.
The items you will need are:
Fireproof pot
Tweezers
Forceps/Tongs
Matches/lighter
Frankincense resin
Warning: Use in a ventilated area with a fireproof pot.
Tips: Place the resin on the disc once it has burned and gone grey. Use a small amount of resin at a time. If there is too much smoke coming out, add some salt on top of the charcoal. This will also make your resin last a lot longer.

These are charcoals. They sell them at lowes, Walmart, Home Depot, Amazon. They are called “charcoal disks” or “charcoal rounds”. Make sure you buy “self ignited”.

Good video! Quick question: do the 'feet' of that little holder get so hot they might burn whatever surface the holder is on? If I put it on a wooden shelf and let the frankincense burn for 30-45 mins, might it leave marks on the wood (or be a fire hazard)? Thanks :)

Mine rests on wood and I have no issues with it :) I think the whole thing gets hot though as it's iron. Once it's on I don't touch it and just use tongues.

You can use a candle warmer or smokeless burner. With the candle warmer just use a bit of olive oil and add your resin. For the smokeless all you need is a small candle and you add the resin on the burner.

Try burning it in a small pan w olive oil. You can heat up pan first then immediately lower temperature just to keep it at warm. It's pleasant.
