Holy crap you guys, everything you say works. Just got a 2024 Telluride for 2k under MSRP and no dealer add ons in Southern California! I sent the sales guy back 3x and one by one the add ons came off. Theft Recover ($1300), then clear coat ($695), smart glass (1295), digital plate (1,000) , protection package (995) we're talking $4,300 in add ons...then 2k under MSRP so ya'll helped me take $6,300 off the advertised price. Can't thank ya enough.

Bought a used truck from a dealership 200 miles away. They keep ignoring my questions and tried getting me to come in. Even tried to get me to get approved and possibly purchase over the phone before ever seeing it in person. I stayed firm and eventually worked out a price and terms contingent on a test drive approval. When I arrived they still tried a bunch of games but everything backfired and I got the truck for exactly what I wanted. Just keep to your guns and be willing to walk away.

I have tried twice now with a local dealer saying exactly what I want, that I’m willing to wait for the right configuration, and that I do not want any dealer installed extras (window etching, paint sealant, nitrogen in tires, etc.) and both times they’ve just ghosted me. Literally never replied again. Apparently they aren’t that desperate for sales yet.

Ray and Zach, I wanted to share with you my recent experience at a local CDJR dealership. I went in to get an estimate for quite a bit of maintenance work on a 100K 10 year old Jeep vehicle. Guess what, no one would provide an estimate, they were happy to schedule the appointment and I would receive a phone call with the estimate. I agreed and decided to try a second CDJR dealer and got the same response. Well it did not set well so I went to a Good Year service center, on the spot quote. .Several hours later the CDJR dealers called back and It was a sticker shock price for the service. Considerably higher and it was ridiculous. I am a retired mechanical engineer and I know how the service should be performed, yes dealerships are higher but with this new process which I experienced seemed as though as another way to further gouge a customer. Have you guys heard about this new process. ?

Purchasing 2024 Audi S5 premium plus w/ sport package this week with an out the door price $3500 under the msrp using much of the advice from your channel . This includes $2000 off from dealer plus a Costco bonus of $1500 plus AudiUSA financing @ 3.99% for 60m. The car I initially wanted was at a dealer 1 hour away and have done all of the negotiating over text and email. I even found a car further away and this same dealer was willing to make a trade with the other. Initially dealer wasn’t providing enough detail. I asked for a detail listing of everything discussed to that point and then ignored texts for a day or so. They then sent me a finance sheet with all pricing, deductions, document and title fees, sales tax etc. No sneaky add ons or gimmicks. Further, they are paying to transport the car from Michigan to Ohio. Could have the car truck delivered to me for $200, but I plan to go from western PA to outside Cleveland this week to pick up in person.

When asking for a discount why would we say $500, $750, ore even $1000? What if they were willing to go for $2250 or more? If the vehicle is high demand then of course MSRP is going to be "the deal" but in the case you are explaining that car has sat for 2-3 months and all the costs involved with that. I have always been of the mindset that whoever throws out the first number loses in a negotiation. If I say $500, $750, or $1000 all the dealer sees is "I only have to take $500 off this aged unit to get a sale"" it creates a disadvantage. Is that really your proudest paragraph because to me it seems a bit passive?

My brother in law purchased a used car some years ago and is the best negotiator I’ve seen. He picked the car he wanted and told the salesman what he wanted to pay monthly. Salesman went back and forth countless times and my brother in law never budged and just plainly told me there was no deal unless he got what he wanted. It took so long that the dealer was closing, a manager had to overwrite the actual value of the vehicle and my brother in law actually got a a better deal than what he asked for by a few bucks. The sales person got very frustrated and I even I did but it goes to show you that if you have patience and perseverance you will eventually get the deal you want within reason of course.

I followed him back to his managers office and his boss slammed his fist on his desk and said WHAT DOES HE WANT US TO DO, WE'VE ALREADY LOWERED THE PRICE $2,000. That was music to me ears. They eventually went down $500 more and gave me more for my trade so we made a deal.

@theg.o.a.t9864
@theg.o.a.t9864 Ай бұрын
@@workoutwithrob1700 Horrible take there from a business perspective. Even if a small amount of customers do that, the majority of people respect and value an honest salesman and someone who tries their best to please the customer. If I work with a salesman and he works hard to get me a great deal and someone else quotes me for a price that is a slight better deal, I personally would much rather support the business that fought for my business rather the business that realized that they had no choice but to go that low to get a sale. A salesman should try his best for each and every customer because you build reputation, and reputation should be drastically more important to people. There are gonna be people who are going to only pay the cheapest amount possible and don't care about all of that, but when a dealer starts to put less effort into negotiating and trying to build their reputation, they reduce their total customers and hurt themselves in the end. This reason is a very large contributor as to why dealerships that do no haggle pricing and are upfront with all their fees (And make the process much easier without having to fight to get information) are becoming the most popular.

Best way to buy a car: Know someone with a dealer's license and tell him what you are looking for and let him buy it at the auction. If that sounds simple then it is that simple. Of course you have to pay the person with a dealer's license something for the trouble. Works for me every time. Get a car wholesale for $30K pay the person with a dealer's license say $3K and for a total of $33K get a car with a minimum retail value of $50K. Of course there are other administrative costs as well but that will always be the case.

@@markthees5650 You have a point that nothing is clear cut in life. With that said, I don't see any disadvantages provided that: 1. You feel extremely comfortable with working with the dealer. Paying $30K ideally is a non event for you but I understand that is likely not to be the case that laying out $30K on the spot doesn't cause you financial or emotional strain.

Suppose you have horrible credit. Does it not matter because you are working with sales for the OTD price, and the finance dept won't be involved? Also, if I can get a great deal, I'm planning to buy in Montana to avoid having to pay sales tax.

I have been trying to purchase a 5-7 yr old 4 runner. There were several for sale in December, but the advice was to wait 60 days. The last few months the price is higher and very few of them available unless I want to drive cross country. I Don't think your methods work for some vehicles ?

Wife and I shopped for vehicles for a few months lots of research and followed all of the 0% financing offers ended up finding that suv fully loaded 0% 48 month 3000 under msrp and they included a 2 year 30k maintenance plan in the purchase th dealer was very straightforward no gimmicks and was very open to give OTD price. People that don't have prime credit like my wife and I are kind of at the mercy of the banks often paying 10% interest on an already expensive vehicle with these dumb "market adjustments" makes buying so exhausting it's a marathon and must be treated as such

Most of these dealerships won’t even answer emails or texts…. They all want us to come in… I’ve had 2 or 3 that wanted to work with me through text and the rest wanted me to come in…. Like cmon man first off I live 2/3 hours away so I can’t make time and 2nd if I wanna make a deal I wanna make the trip worth it!! Some dealerships are just horrible but il be looking to take these templates!

A few weeks ago I got a RAV for 8.96% off MSRP. Stay firm on your price and be prepared to buy at a moments notice. Dealers like to hear I’m ready to buy today.

I offered my dealer $35k less than their list on an EV, they laughed but the listing keeps going down. It will get to my price before the year ends 😂 This is a brilliantly worded email! Thanks!

Hello, new to the channel. I recently learned of "grey" vehicles. I've been interested in a certain vehicle and color. I've noticed a number of these vehicles come from Canada. What, if any, options are available with "grey" vehicles? Purchasing, maintenance, warranty etc.

today I was looking at Nissan frontier pro4x and it was 23 model and online listed price $43,000 and some change. but when I asked for the price of the truck $64,946.18 in add on's. nothing on the dealers web page said anything about a add on's. why do dealers do that to people

I can not imagine those people who bought into the EV craze these past three years, they are so upside down that it reminds me a little of 2008 when people were just walking away from their mortgages at the expense of having bad credit. Dealers don't want them either. Some are given away leases which is the only way you might be able to get a cheap one, but then again, you need good credit to bite.

I'm of similar thinking, but in my case there is a second email and it says "you didn't give me the info I wanted so I'm working with a dealer who did" and send it and forget them.
