Honestly if you want to buy a project car you have two options: 1: you buy the cheapest shittiest one you can find and "pocket' The savings. 2: You buy the nicest base model you can find. I took the 2nd option with my 88' NA Auto Supra. Though I didn't screw around with the tranny or motor, just cosmetics, and honestly I'm over the moon happy with that. Getting a VERY nice base in the first place is the best way to go as you will likely save a monster amount of money and time on things you could have solved in the first place with a better buy.

That 3000GT VR4 looks amazing already, including the wheels. I hope the title situation get sorted out ASAP (sounds like you're experience in this aspect already). Congratulations on getting your dream car 🎉👏

Excited for this project. Always love the vr4. Only suggestion would be rust and parts availability.

Me too man! Luckily no rust on my vr4, but for parts fingers are crossed that nothing catastrophic goes wrong haha

Does this differ if you plan to do an off-roading build

Well i have a car i'm looking at. It doesn't have a key, It's being sold because it was left on the property of a new owner. the doors are unlocked, no idea if it runs or start. I already know it's a bad idea, but it's 500 bucks.
