According to rajasthani people (specifically from Kota city) they say the "shah" or "sah" surname are teli caste and they are also rajputs from the kota and other city in rajasthan itself who migrated into up,bihar,nepal,gujrat,mp and gave up their rajputana status to start oil works . And the one's who didn't migrate out of rajasthan and are teli caste are called "Rathore" eg: movie rowdy rathore. Rathores while being teli also still associate with rajputs in rajasthan. This year i attended Chatth puja in rajasthan and it was organised by "rathore/shah samaj" and obviously chatth is mostly celebrated by biharis and nepalis ... My surname also sah/shah .weird . Now im more intrigued about the actual migration pattern of this surname

You call out hypocrisy of bengali, that's very good and comment section people are very happy with it. But this little bit old news, now this caste system is not pertinent in bengal. But in this present time In north india they preaching about Hinduism bhaichara, but killing daughter for marrying other caste not old but accept other caste daughter in law, u would find in bihar one girl got killed in January 2024. How many "sanatani" Is lamenting over it, rather they supporting it. same as muslim they don't kill son for marrying other nonmuslim but kill daughter who marry nonmuslim. And in addition to that they do kill daughters in fetus. Already 2-3 cr daughter has been killed since 1990 in North india. Hypocrisy goes both way. But u would find many bengali who call out their own community hypocrisy. But north india just deny their mistake or blame it on mughal brits. Search honor killings in bihar Tamilnadu up gujrat Rajasthan, every where it happens. But no honor killings happen in bengal for intercaste marriage. Bengal suffered partion, still female foeticide is not happening. Check sex ratio at birth in NHFS 2019, in all other places it is happening. But they won't call it out. In Uttrakhand in 2019 in 132 villages no girl child born for three months. But they would blame brits for it, mostly they just don't care. But u would find many bengali criticise their community heavily. Thats good. For your information only in bengal you can get state govt job even without knowing bengali. But that is not the case in gujrat Maharashtra tamil etc , they dont consider knowledge of hindi as enough eligibility criteria , knowledge of regional language is must there. Still bengalis are blamed as parochial. See cases like balesh dhankar preet vikal and many others, it is not bengali hindu whoose name come as rapist in foreign land and also in India. But u won't call it out. Pawan singh making "bangal wali " Maal is not racist to many north indian?!

And bengalis feel bad about it they themselves post about it Just 3 months ago , one yr old girl got killed with her mother because of intercaste marriage in bhagalpur bihar. No govt did it, own parents did it. No bihari made video, no one felt ashamed.
