We have the exact same plug on our Cub Cadet zero turn and i did EXACTLY what you did here and it will work! My girlfriend weighs only 85 lbs and she can't even use her new zero turn because of this damn switch oufffff!

Can you explain the seat switch to me? Without messing with the switch can your zero turn lawn mower still be started without sitting on it? For example as long as the parking brake is on and all your safety switches are met, can you stand and start your mower so the engine can warm before you mow the grass?

can you just tap the actual switch down so its just engaged at all times, and then slide the whole sensor back under the seat?

The 4 prong removal didn’t work on my mower. It had no effect. I didn’t have time to test for continuity with my multi meter though.

Same for me. I have a John Deere S240, removed 4 prong pins and the safety still engages if I get off the seat.

It didn't work on mine, but when I left it unplugged it now stays running when off the seat.

All ya have to do is unplug the connector pull one end of the jumper wire and leave it unplugged that's all I did on my John Deere D120...

I did the credit car method. It works keeping the engine on when off the seat, but the engine dies when i engage the blades. I took the card out and plugged back in and blades engage no issues.

On the John Deere D105 by you bypassing the safety switch will it go Forward and backwards from a seat spring that broke?

For future note if it doesn’t work and you still have to sit on it, leave the seat unplugged instead after you do this and it should fire right up

So the safety seat switch on my Craftsman mower is pretty much like yours except with the 4 prongs....I took it out like you showed, hooked the plug back in.....and my seat safety switch....IS STILL WORKING!!! That's just my luck. I am going to try to just completely disconnect it....and we shall see what happens.

Sometimes these so called safety switches are such a distraction they are counterproductive . Example , the backup consent sw. instead of looking at where are backing your eyes are hunting For that stupid switch .

This is waste of time, a small piece of coated card to hold the connection open is all you need and it takes two seconds to remove. Should you ever have to take it to a dealer as some will not work on bypassed equipment

Not sure why You Tube recommended this. But it is asinine to do this. Then you show other people how to do the same? As someone who has seen the damage that can be done to the human body, by spinning lawn mower blades, this is very dangerous. Only a fool would disable a safety switch on any piece of equipment.

@@Capalmer01 yep. The first thing I did on my JD X 300. And disconnected the safety on reverse while the blades are engaged. I hope I have enough sense not to put a body part under the deck while it’s running
