I’m having a panic attack every time I am at work... Read this a prayer: Dear God, I accept and surrender my feelings of my pain, sense of danger and anxiety to you right now. I put all my trust and faith in you to protect me from my own thoughts and patterns that keep me stuck in this anxious loop. Dear God fill my heart and soul with your love and trust that everything is ok and that nothing is harming me right now. Amen ❤️

Trying To Be Realistic, got a few tips, you got to convince yourself you're just having an anxiety attack and that you're not gonna die, yes it's hard and it will sometimes be so bad youl feel like you're dying, sometimes it comes and goes. You have to relax yourself, taking deep breaths in through your nose and out your mouth is a good start, nice slow deep breaths. Massaging certain pressure points helps alot too using your forefinger and middle finger. I have theis quite frequently of late but they last for maybe 30 mins or so before I beat that shit down, it's like your conscience is waging war with your brain, it's truly all In your head. And when you realize this it will seem rather silly but you truly aren't in any danger, I've been to the hospital many many... times only for them to stabilize me then discharge me a few hours later telling me I was never in any danger, I hope you don't have any more of theis and if you do just remember to convince your self you're fine, talking with others helps, and sometimes it don't either talk with friends and family having them ensure you you're fine helps, if not, find a nice secluded/quite area and practice the afore mentioned breathing exercises, listen to mellow music or go outside and enjoy the nature around you. Focus on the peacefulness of the trees, and animals, think of how fresh the air is. Calm and relaxed. The key is to not lose the mental battle. If you do your heart rate may spike and blood pressure as well. But youl be fine. Ik it sucks ass and makes ya feel pretty shitty but your gonna get through it. Cheers and have a good day, hope this helps you the next time.

Windex Queen yes it is affecting me as well. As I write this in fact, was sleeping peacefully when suddenly woke up with anxiety attack. I also have been diagnosed with sleep apnea and might have to be hooked up to a Cpap breathing assistance machine. Only thing to do is convince yourself your not in any danger. Slow your thinking down as majority of it comes from thinking too much, have to relax and remind your self you're not in any danger. I find ot helps to breathe through nose. Slow steady deep breaths, focus on your breathing, (in)....... (out).......,and repeat. Trust me you're fine as I've been experiencing theis (annoying) (attacks) almost multiple times per day. Calming myself now in fact. Try a nice hot shower with relaxing music on. It's all about controlling your your breathing and thoughts, thinking too much aka (racing thoughts) only increases your problem. Youl be fine... trust me. It's truly all in your head. Peace guys and God bless

I'm dreading going back to school tomorrow. so when I laid down to go to bed tonight, I felt like I was having a hard time breathing. my breathing felt very irregular and I would usually take in a breath and then hold it for a while before breathing out, and then I would repeat the process. it's hard for me to describe and I have no idea what I'm experiencing right now. I'm leading myself to the conclusion that it's just stress from school. has anyone else ever felt this way before?

MLG_PANCAKE 310XD you might have depersonalization/derealization. I have this alot. But recently it’s gotten so so much better. It’s important to know that it always ends at some point. I barley get those nowadays whereas before I got this almost everyday. I didn’t even know what it was. Idk if you have it or not but a brief explanation is feeling like your not real or everything feels unreal. Almost as if you’re looking through a screen. Whenever I get it I also feel very lonely. And when I used to get it everyday I couldn’t sleep either. Even when I talked to someone it felt weird. So idk if this is what you have. I know this is really long but when I used to get it I always hoped someone would explain to me what this was. You can look up ways to help it as well. I hope this was helpful.

When I was 19 I was sitting in my living room and for no reason I started feeling weird. My hands started tingling and it started going up the left side my body and I thought I was going to have a heart attack. I couldn't catch my breath and I was getting dizzy andmy heart felt like it was skipping beats. It was the scariest thing I've ever experienced. I had my mother take me to the hospital. I literally thought I was going to die. They took me, put an oxygen mask on me, and after a few minutes of that I felt fine. When the Dr told me I had a panic attack I didn't know what he meant, and I told him how could I have a panic attack, all I was doing was sitting in my living room. I wasn't doing anything that would make me panic. I didn't know anything about panic attacks and anxiety. I told him I was having a heart attack, and then he explained what anxiety was. It was one of the most embarrassing things ever. I had my mother rush me to the hospital for nothing. 19 was the first time it ever happened and since then, it's 10 times worse. I hate it, sometimes if I'm around a lot of people, I'll have an attack, when my son started kindergarten, I would get separation anxiety, worrying if he's ok. I've never seen a professional about it, my Dr. wanted to give me xanax but at first I didn't want to take them 3 times a day because I felt like a zombie, so I would just take a piece of one if I felt an attack coming on. I actually clicked on this video because I was having an attack. Sorry for such a long and boring story but it took my mind off of my panic attack I was having and I'll be honest, this video didn't help one bit.

My face started getting hot, I was having cold sweats and I wanted to run out of there. Today, I had a panic attack at the DMV while sitting for 40 min. I started feeling a lump in my throat and I felt like I was running out of air to breathe. I was about 5 numbers away from being called up to a counter. I had to run to the bathroom and focus on my breathing to calm myself down. I often feel dizzy or get a headache after them.

social media has come such a long way. I've been reading personal experiences of people, and in a way it made me feel more understanding of my anxiety disorders. Yesterday, i was running on 1 hour of sleep at school, and when i came home i took a 2 hour nap. When it was nighttime, i was absolutely exhausted my eyes were litteraly shutting off, but i had nausea, and it was a terrible constraining feeling in my throat and my stomach was so tight. I used to struggle with anxiety in the summer of 2018, but eventually i conquered it, and now i'm having relapses :( It's really weird because these things keep happening and i don't really know why. It's like i'm stressing about the upcoming anxiety attacks which makes my stress even more stressful. It made me feel better knowing there are thousands of people out there going through this. If anyone reading this feels alone, remember you are not. We are all gonna eventually conquer this. Nothing lasts forever.

I’ve been having anxiety since I was 17. I’ve been to metal hospital and it went away for a couple years and it came back two years ago and I’ve just been dealing with it on a daily basis. It’s just something your going to have to cope with for the rest of your life, never give up dont let it stop you from living your life. Always have positive thoughts, I have bad anxiety right now cause I start my new job tomorrow and I just wanna listen to some good words to get me thru tomorrow if anyone ever needs advice feel free to hit me up. It’s always good talking to someone who knows what your going thru.

Very good advice. I've been having crippling panic attacks every day at about 11pm recently. The advice you give here is what i have found helps me the most. As soon as i start seeing signs of an attack i step outside and watch the sky, tell myself i will get through it. Is absolutely terrifying and since I was in hospital recently i thought it was low blood pressure or something dangerous, it really is scary. My attacks literally last hours though...so i dont agree with that part of your video

The only way to stop a panic attack is by doing nothing. Going outside, breathing techniques, distraction techniques, etc are all telling your body that whatever is going on is so dangerous if you don't do these types of things you're not going to be okay.

Please reply to this as every other video I commented this on, no one did. So normally I get invited places. I just got back from a trip and someone said "one day we will go with my family, to this country" (their family). I freaked out this morning because I think about myself being sick and not well and eating stuff I don't like etc.. When I'm away from parents. Please let me know what's wrong and how to stop it, it's urgent and you would know how I feel if you was in my position. So please try and help and don't just scroll down here even if this video helped you.

It seems I may be a tad late, but try to acknowledge that, for many people, new trips and experiences can be rather daunting. It is a natural part of being exposed to something new. If it is the lack of contact with your parents which worries you, then make sure you can contact them by email or SMS or whatever, so that you may talk to them even while you are away. Illness is unlikely, but if you are travelling to a place of particularly high disease prevalence or with a risk dangerous infection then take the necessary medical procedures prior. If you worry about your health, consult a medical professional about the trip to see if there is any real risk, and follow their advice accordingly. If you don't like the food there, simply do not eat it, or do if it is tolerable, and you are okay with doing so. If you really don't want to admit that you dislike the food, complain of gastrointestinal distress, and just don't eat whilst changing the topic. I do know how you feel, the first trip I made away from home made me feel nauseated, but when I actually arrived, I was kept so busy I forgot all of my anxieties. We, as humans, are still very much dominated by our instincts. To keep us alive, our brains will cause anxiety and panic to set in before new or daunting experiences so that we avoid them, the "fight or flight" response which causes nausea, and the frequent need to urinate very small amounts of urine. These unlikely scenarios you imagine are your brain's way of discouraging you, to protect you from non-existent threats, and it clouds rational and realistic thought. Deep breathing, slowing your movements, drinking tea or water (or whatever that isn't caffeinated or sugary) and spending time outside are likely to help lift these worries from your mind. Think things through, are these worries realistic, or do you think you could be panicking over nothing? Also, admit to your friends and the people you trust that you are somewhat nervous, they are likely to understand and help support you in any way they can. Also, take your mind off of it by doing something you enjoy, and take anything you feel you need (music and such like) with you so that you feel comforted and grounded, when the actual event arrives.

RainbowBulldog listen..... I've had anxiety attacks damn near once a day for the past three years, you're an introvert? meaning you don't like to leave your house and get out any if at all? A tad bit of social anxiety as well? Ok my best tip for you is to just take it easy, make yourself aware that you are having an anxiety attack.... remind yourself you are not in any danger. Slow down your thoughts or cut them out all together as thinking too much only serves to increase your discomfort. Try taking deep breaths in and out your nose and massaging your sternum in slow methodical circular motions, you may find it helpful to talk with others and have them reassure you that you're fine (even if they themselves dont think you are) just the support can achieve your end goal... (controlling your mind and body). I also suffer from the same problem, I hardly get out and when I do I get anxiety, just gotta realize you're having an attack and to deal with it accordingly. Nice relaxing hot shower while listening to your favorite music helps. Youl sometimes realize that being around ppl onley makes it worse, in this case find a nice quite place and ask them not to disturb you as you're practicing breathing and relaxation exercises. Ima tell you now (it's all in your head) youl be fine as I been to the hospital for this many times only for them to hold me until I'm stabilize and then release me a couple of hours later informing me that I was never really in any danger. It's pointless to think you're dying as this onley makes it worse. Youl be fine, just gotta take it one day at a time. Try exposing yourself little by little to social discomfort, nothing serious as you don't want to trigger another attack but a little discomfort is fine. I feel you're over thinking theis trips to meet ones parents. You're running the thoughts of their possible disapproval, and resentment towards you, will they accept me? And will they be ok with my profession/career/job. You're giving yourself anxiety by over-thinking the whole thing. Try asking for reassurance from the person who's parents you're meeting, the trick is to be open with your anxiety. It's not really something someone would criticise you for (unless they are assholes). Anyways... good luck, I hope this advice is very useful to you in helping reduce/avoid anxiety attacks all together. God Bless.......

One of the things that helps me regulate my breathing is to read something out loud or sing a song (even in public you can just mouth the words) and that helps me from breathing too fast or inhaling to much oxigen which then makes me more scared because I get dizzy and my hands get cold. It does not stop the panic attack but it makes it easier to overcome. Hope this tip can help someone out there.

This woman has absolutely no idea what she's talking about general panic attacks last anywhere from a minimum of 15 minutes to an hour and going outside doesn't help,You need to get hydrated and breathe deep and slowly with your Diaphragm, not your ''abdominal muscles'' People should not release videos providing false information especially with something as serious as this, also stay away from caffeine if you're panic attack prone as it makes it two times worse, breathe slow and keep hydrated!

Recently went to the ER because I had the most hectic panic attack of my life, I thought it was a heart attack. My whole face and body was tingly and numb and it was a challenge for me to even walk. I felt so lightheaded and dizzy I hated it. My heart wouldn’t slow down no matter how much I tried to focus on my breathing. The nurse gave me 2 Panadols and a Valium and it helped me asap. Went to the doctors the next day and they put me on anti-depressants to see how I go for the next month. They’re still occurring tho but I’m only on my third day of using them so hopefully they start to make a difference soon.. and does anyone get panic attacks with no main trigger? That’s my whole problem and what makes me 10 times worse because I don’t know why I’m suddenly freaking out but most of the time it’s when I’m focusing on my breathing or heart.

I heard years ago that before you die you body forget how to swallow this messed me up, So if my body doesn't swallow i go full panic mode, thinking im dying, my body goes numb and this makes it worse, my head burns also, and i have a mini panick attack just as a full into deep sleep, becuase i think im dying .... its horrible...... after my attack clam down, my body stays numb for a while and i shake violently with energy. i have a really bad diet and i love drink caffeine non stop.....i think its time to give it up..becuase im not helping my self ...plus ive gotten no sleep, so it makes it worse.

I think the best advise I’ve ever heard was fight the attack and force yourself to remain seated. So, I’d have to disagree with her saying get up and leave the scene. Unless you’re about to pass out then I’d understand. I’ve noticed that when I leave the scene I assume everyone knows something is wrong and it triggers even more anxiety

No matter how many times I have a panic attack and am familiar with it, I still believe I am dying and my brain convinces me its for a different reason every time. If its not a heart attack then I start thinking that drinking too much has caught up with me or that I have a condition I didn't know about. Either way the feeling is too uncomfortable to calm down because I need a relief from it asap. Its like I am in a box filling with smoke and I can't find a way out. Not to mention when I DO calm down im always embarrassed people had to see me like that. It sucks bad.

I was sitting in my lecture and all of a sudden my heart started racing really fast and I was getting really scared but I didn’t understand what was happening. So I was just fidgeting in my seat constantly, playing with my pens and holding back my tears. The possibility of dying did cross my mind but my very introverted personality told me it was best not to make a scene. After time passed, it was over and I felt like my body went back to normal again. It was so sudden and it never happened before so I never understood what it was. I knew I had to tell someone so I booked an appointment with a counsellor at my uni. I was so scared and nervous to talk about it because I never really express my self or know how to in these situations-I ended up not going. I didn’t just want to ‘pray it away’ like my parents would probably say or they would blame it on the fact that I don’t pray enough. I haven’t experienced a panic attack ever since but I can’t stress enough how important it is to understand Mental health.

Sometimes my panic attacks get so bad that my muscles in my legs and hands tighten up and i am unable to move them, I’m very scared to have one in front of my friends but I typically get them when I am getting impatient, or of course worried about something. Waiting in lines such as at a carnival could cause me an attack and I would really like to know how to prevent that from happening or try to stop it, because carnivals and fairs and amusement parks are something fun that my anxiety gets in the way of.
