How to Catch Fish on Lures Rock Fishing

In this episode, I head off with a good mate to go Rock Fishing from the local stones just off Botany Bay in Sydney Australia. The plan was to get an early start straight out of lockdown in attempts to fish for some land based Kingfish during the start of season. With the water still being cool from winter, there aren’t many Yellowtail Kingfish about but the ones you’ll tangle lines with will generally be healthy in size. We rigged up in darkness to be ready by first light with stickbaits in water and boy did we nail our target species!

Hey man, there is just so much on the market now. Really depends on where you''re fishing and what you'd like to target. I like to use a topwater stickbait 120-140mm in length in natural baitfish colours then switch over to shore jigging to access deeper waters :) Hope that helps.
