Cool facts about the barreleye: It’s skull is transparent and it can move its eyes INSIDE its skull to look straight up. Also, it lives in the Mariana Trench, the deepest place on earth. Edit: this got a heart, so I’m gonna do a few more animals. Sunfish: I’m sure you could tell, but sunfish have no tails. It’s just a big body. Sometimes, when parasites or bacteria begin to itch and hurt species of sunfish, they lay on the surface of the water horizontally. The birds clean the top and things like remora or sucker fish clean from below. Oarfish: the oarfish is the longest fish in the sea. It only eats things like krill, small squids, deep-sea ooze full of rotting matter, and other tiny creatures. In fact, it has no teeth. They’re prone to a genetic mutation making them larger than they should be. Also, young oarfish are so small, they’re about the size of common shrimp. Some juvenile oarfish have been seen beaching themselves accidentally, because if they get too close to the surface, they are usually ill or dying. Cool video! I have a SUPER TIP about getting fish bait - carry an extra DIY workbench for crafting in your pocket! Like fish and insects, manila clams don't stack; each one you dig up takes up one space in your pocket. BUT if you carry a workbench in your pocket you can quickly craft the clams you find into fish bait, which DOES stack! Ten fish bait per pocket space. This frees up pocket space to collect more clams/bait, shells, and fish. A pocketed work bench also allows you to quickly customise tools - like fishing rods - which are about to break so they last longer. Or if a tool does break you can quickly make a new one because you've got a work bench ready with you. This REALLY helped me when I was struggling to catch a stringfish, hopefully it will help someone who reads this.

If you can catch sharks right now and you haven’t time traveled then you’re in the Southern Hemisphere. If you can’t then you’re in the northern.

@@truespeedsonic78 gotcha, i havent run into a shark yet. The only high value things I have caught are sturgeon, golden trout, that super duper old fish and oar fish
